Simon's doing
a fantastic job kayaking around the coastline of Great Britain. He's reached Newcastle
Upon Tyne where he has befallen a stroke of bad luck. Thieves have stolen some
of his vital equipment.
The thieves
took a Canon A1 waterproof camera, a pair of sunglasses, a compass, a whistle,
a water bottle and a buoyancy aid.
Simon, who hopes to raise £10,000 for the Leukaemia Research Fund, has vowed
that the thieves will not stop him in his mission.
"I do need this equipment," he said, "but I will carry
on without it for the time being. Something like this is bad luck, but it won't
stop me.
