Hawkstone Park: The obelisk

This is the view from the 100 foot high obelisk at Hawkstone Park, erected in 1795 and restored 1993. At the top stands a statue of Sir Rowland Hill, founder of the estate. The viewing platform is reached by a spiral staircase inside the column.
