Sameer is a struggling actor who is very passionate about his profession. Brimming with energy, Sameer juggles various jobs while working towards getting his big break in the film industry.
Along the way he meets Tina (Genelia D’Souza), a Bollywood film choreographer who encourages him to pursue his dream. Just when Sameer is promised his big break, he is evicted from his lodgings because he is unable to pay the rent.
Not one to give up that easily Sameer decides to live in his rickety old car. He begins to teach dance choreography to a group of school kids. He hates kids and the kids hate dancing.
As his struggle continues, the director who was to launch Sameer decides to choose his hero through a talent hunt. Shattered by the news, Sam diverts his focus towards the kids. His initial dislike soon turns to friendship.
Aided by the spirited and beautiful Tina, he helps them win a prestigious inter-school dance competition and gets their confidence back.
Sameer decides to enter the reality hunt and emerges a winner eventually becoming what he was destined to be - a superstar.
Director Ken Ghosh’s Chance Pe Dance was first titled Star. The title was then changed to Yahoo, before the makers settled on Chance Pe Dance.
Chance Pe Dance is a feel-good flick starring Shahid Kapoor of the Kaminey fame in the lead role. The movie is expected to release in January 2010.
