Karan Johar’s Kurbaan to release this November

Kurbaan is all set for a global crossover appeal due to it's fresh content never seen before in Hindi cinema.

Kurbaan is one of the most anticipated movies to release this year. A thriller in the making, Kurbaan (meaning sacrifice) stars Saif Ali khan and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles.

Screenplay writer, Rensil D'Silva makes his directorial debut with Kurbaan, a romantic movie set against the backdrop of terrorism.

Almost 85% of the movie has been filmed in New York based on the requirement of the storyline. Not much is known about the movie as the director is keeping tight lipped about the whole project. Musical score has been composed by Salim and Sulaiman and will appear in the background instead of using lip synch by the lead actors.

The film also stars Om Puri, Dia Mirza, Sunil Shetty, Om Puri and Kiron Kher and Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles.

Saif Ali Khan plays an undercover terrorist seen as a smart gentleman whilst Kareena Kapoor plays his on-screen wife.

Kurbaan has been shot in Philadelphia, Delhi and Mumbai and it has been produced by Karan Johar. The film is expected to release in UK cinemas on 27 November 2009 by UTV Motion Pictures in UK cinemas.

Bollywood fans can catch a glimpse of the movie by watching the trailer attached to Wake Up Sid feature releasing on 2 October 2009.
