Helping to beat the credit crunch

BBC Radio Shropshire, Telford Community Service Volunteers (CSV) and Shropshire Broadplaces have teamed up to run Beat the Crunch events in Telford and Shrewsbury.

Fight the recession and find out how you and your family can save some money at our Beat the Crunch fairs. 

  • Monday 18 May: 10am-12.30pm, Meeting Point House in Telford Town Centre
  • Friday 22 May: 10am-12.30pm, Pride Hill Centre in Shrewsbury.

Advisors will be on hand to offer money and benefit advice. They can also answer your questions about changing jobs, learning new skills and volunteering.

Attending the event in Telford on 18 May: The Library Service, TCAT, Health through Warmth, Fairshare Credit Union, CAB, Community Learning Team, CVS Volunteer Services

Advisors at the Price Hill Centre event on 22 May will include: Shropshire Broadplaces, BBC Radio Shropshire, Severnside Housing, Shrewsbury Library, County Training, A4U (benefits partnership), Credit Union, Real Napies, and Shropshire Waste Partnership.
