Adam Green in the studio
A man of many talents, much humour and insatiable appetite. Adam Green is a key part of our Breakfast team and presents the Friday Night Gerbil, as well as the Green Room and Shropshire United sports show every Saturday afternoon.
After intensive training Adam Green has become an early riser who lends his substantial skills to BBC Radio Shropshire's Breakfast show every weekday morning. Not only that, he also pops up on air at the end of the week presenting the Friday Night Gerbil (7-9pm on Fridays). Adam still finds time to presents the Green Room Saturday lunchtimes from 1pm.
Following the Green Room, from 2pm Adam presents all the sports action on Saturday's Shropshire United show. As well as live commentary on every Shrewsbury Town and AFC Telford United match, there's national and international sports news, as well as a round-up of results for all our local teams.

Shropshire's new music
Every Friday 7-9pm Adam Green and Josh Withey present the best local music on the Friday Night Gerbil, including live sessions from some of Shropshire's hottest new talent.
Adam's a big sports fan and given half a chance will try his hand or enjoy watching absolutely any sport going. His dream is to see his beloved Lincoln City win the Champions League. Adam's also a Subbuteo fanatic with about 200 teams in his collection. He's also known as a bit of a runner and completed the 2008 London Marathon in aid of the Severn Hospice.

Never a man to shrink from a challenge, Adam won a particularly odd bet in November 2005 by completing his quest to visit every 'place' in Shropshire, as listed in the Ordnance Survey Gazetteer. 1,195 locations and a total of 8,000 miles - it's strange where a bet made over a pint of beer in Bridgnorth can take you!
Born in Melton Mowbray, Adam has developed a particular fondness for the town's most famous export, the not-so-humble pork pie. However, he names his favourite meal as his mum's chicken and mushroom pie with roast potatoes and gravy... followed by friend Anna's banoffee pie for dessert.
Before becoming a broadcaster Adam tried his hand at a variety of jobs including a treasured time with a certain pet food manufacturer, where he looked after 150 cats and tasted dog and cat food for a living. So when we say he'll eat anything... we mean it!
