Natalie Blair as Snow White

Apple?

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Decide who's the 'fairest of them all' as Shrewsbury Music Hall gives one of the most popular fairy tales the pantomime treatment this Christmas.

Aussie actress Natalie Blair (Carmella in BBC One's Neighbours) stars in Shrewsbury Music Hall's 2007 pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Running 6 December to 6 January, Snow White also stars BBC Radio Shropshire's Eric Smith as Eric the Elf, Aaron Prior as the prince, and Ruth D'Silva as the wicked queen. Andy Fleming returns to the Music Hall for the fifth time to play Joey the Jester.

Cast of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

The story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, originally a German fairytale recorded by the Brothers Grimm, was made famous by the 1937 Disney film of the same name. The stage version like many other pantomimes depends on a traditional recipe of colourful sets and costumes, music, comedy, dance and song. And look out for the poison apple and magic mirror, as well as Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy and Sneezy.

More than 10,000 people have already bought tickets for Snow White, as Shrewsbury's annual pantomime has become one of the most popular in the country. Last year's Aladdin sold over 98% of all its tickets and pre-show sales suggest that Snow White could break box office records. This year's production marks Shrewsbury Music Hall's 13th collaboration with John Spillers Pantomimes Ltd.

Running from 6 December until 6 January, tickets for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs cost £11 and £9 (concessions). Some performances are already sold out. There will also be sign language interpreted performances on Friday 28 December. For more information contact the Music Hall box office on 01743 281281.

Although Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be Natalie Blair's first pantomime, she'll be going back to her roots, having trained in stage skills and singing before joining the cast of TV soap Neighbours in 2003.
