Carols in Shrewsbury Abbey 2008

BBC Radio Shropshire's annual carol service at Shrewsbury Abbey was recorded on 7 December. You can listen to the service on Sunday 21 December and on Christmas Day.

BBC Radio Shropshire's Carols in Shrewsbury Abbey is a traditional festive service, featuring carols, readings and performances by The Band of The Prince Of Wales's Division. BBC Radio Shropshire recorded the 2008 service on Sunday 7 December.

The service will be broadcast at 7am on Sunday, 21 December and repeated at 1pm on Christmas Day. You will also be able to listen to the service on the BBC iPlayer for up to seven days after broadcast.

The singing is led by the abbey choir, conducted by Master of Music Tim Mills. There is also music from the Band of the Prince of Wales's Division, Hadley Orpheus Male Voice Choir and Halfway House Ladies' Choir.
