Come and be amazed when you visit BBC Bristol – the regional television centre for the West of England.

You'll hear how television and radio programmes are made here, now and in the past, and have the chance to visit the interactive studio where you can have a go at presenting the news and weather and star in your own radio drama, complete with sound effects.

Visitors have the chance to see the Points West studio and Radio Bristol studios and you might also visit the rooftop garden outside studio from where the Points West weather forecast is sometimes broadcast.

Your well-informed and entertaining guides will give you an insight into the many programmes produced here, such as Antiques Roadshow, Countryfile, Wild Alaska and Flog It! as well as the Natural History Unit's programmes such as Blue Planet II.

Many Radio 4 programmes, such as Poetry Please, are made at BBC Bristol and your guides will tell you about these too.

BBC Bristol is a working building so no two tours are the same, but they will always be informative, interesting and fun.

Tours take approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and involve a certain amount of walking and standing.

BBC Bristol Tours are winners of South West Tourism Excellence Guided Tour of the Year 2017/18.

Reviews
  • Fantastic guides, they really knew their stuff!

  • The guides were fantastic – extremely well informed, enthusiastic and in general a pleasure to spend time with.  My 8 year-old daughter was made to feel completely at ease and was included in all activities.
  • They were knowledgeable, friendly and focused on ensuring every member of the tour had an enjoyable experience.
  • I don’t think we were prepared for how comprehensive and participative the tour was.  It’s a shame you can’t advertise because it’s a belter.
  • Without exception all 20 members of our group enjoyed our trip and felt they had gained more of an insight in how the BBC makes some of its programmes.
