Escape to the Country

Alistair Appleton, Jules Hudson and Denise Nurse help couples who wish to sell up in the city and buy a dream rural retreat.
In each programme we find out where the couple live, why they want to move, where in the UK they long to move to and what exactly they're looking for. Then we take them to their chosen area and show them some idyllic country properties that match their criteria and their budget. We also show them a 'mystery' house, a wild-card property that will get them thinking outside the box.
Along the way, the couple visit what will be their local town and nearby attractions, and try out some country pursuits they've always wanted to do, like bee-keeping, archery or raising chickens. At the end of the programme, the couple talk through all the properties they've seen and decide which one to pursue.
