Learn the Deafblind Manual Alphabet and the Two-Handed Manual Alphabet used by sighted Deaf people, plus a huge number of links to Deafblind resources.

Association of Lipspeakers
The professional body that represents lipspeakers, which aims to promote good practice and encourage the further development of lipspeaking as a communication service.

Better Hearing
This organisation offers advice on hearing aids. Contact the advice line to have your questions answered by a professional hearing aid audiologist.

Bexley Deaf Club
Formed in 1991, they meet on the first and third Friday evening of every month. The Club is also home to a five-a-side football team.

British Deaf Association (BDA)
The BDA is the largest national organisation run by Deaf people for Deaf people.

British Deaf History Society
The BDHS is a charitable organisation that exists to encourage interest in Deaf history, and to encourage the preservation of historical records and material related to Deaf people.

Offers an introduction to BSL via over 400 photo animations of common words.

Centre for Deaf Studies
The Centre for Deaf Studies at Bristol University has 20 research, teaching and secretarial staff who work on deafness, language and the community.

Common Ground Sign Dance Theatre
This company uses visual language, the basis of Deaf culture, and fuses it with expressive dance and live music.

Council for the Advancement of Communication with Deaf People
CACDP's aim is to promote communication between Deaf, hard of hearing, Deafblind and hearing people by offering nationally recognised assessments and accreditation in BSL and other forms of communication used by Deaf people.
