Biography
Scott Wallace is a graphic designer by trade, although he works as a barman in The Tall Ship. He used to have a graphics business with Nazir Malik but Nazir left and Scott struggled to pay the rent. Despite some help from Heather, Scott had to close down Blinc Inc. Heather took over the premises and turned it into Versus.
Scott shared a flat in Shieldinch with Ruth and Joanne Rossi but Jo moved out and Callum took her place. Callum became a good mate, until he took off for other climes. Scott then lived in the flat with Ruth and Marty, until they decided they wanted to set up home alone, and Scott moved into Heather's flat.
Scott has never been lucky in love. He fell for Stevie Adams but it didn't work out. At first, Stevie wasn't happy about letting his family know he was gay, and sent mixed signals to Scott. However, their relationship reached breaking point when Stevie slept with Scott's best mate, Ruth. Scott decided he'd had enough of Stevie, although he forgave Ruth. Ruth continued to test his patience as a friend, particularly when she attacked him. However, she has proved that she is fiercely protective of Scott.
Scott got involved with DCI Eddie Hunter, who hid his sexuality from everyone. Scott and Eddie began to get serious but Scott was left utterly devastated when he spotted Eddie with his wife and kids - Eddie had failed to mention their existence.
Scott became very depressed when he found out Eddie was lying to him, and attempted suicide. After a break, Eddie moved back to Shieldinch on his own as his marriage to Tina ended. Tina and their sons Jamie and Paul also live in Shieldinch which has been very awkward at times. Scott and Eddie got back together, and Tina was initially disapproving of their relationship, partly due to her own hurt feelings, and partly because she was worried about the impact of their relationship on the boys. Paul and Jamie were told that their father was gay... a situation which caused problems for everyone especially Paul who harassed Scott about it. Scott was extremely patient throughout all of this, and did his best to keep his temper towards the boy. He even did his best to help Tina convince Eddie of the best way to look after the children, convincing him that Paul needed to see a psychologist. He gets on really well with Jamie and he's even become friends with Tina.
His world was blown apart when Eddie was shot dead and he's suffered some press harassment in the furore surrounding Eddie's murder. Scott's since found out that Eddie planned to propose to him that night - he now wears the ring Eddie was going to give him.
He kissed salsa teacher Jake in a moment of drunken madness but he was horrified by his own behaviour - he's not ready to forget Eddie.
He was forced to call social services when he discovered Paul was hitting his mum. He was devastated by what was happening to his friends, but has been a rock to Tina since she sent Paul back to school.
He's still living with Heather even though Gerry's back on the scene.
