Biography
Scarlett's ice cream van spluttered into Shieldinch, then finally broke down in front of the Malik shop. Undeterred, Scarlett commenced trading from the very spot where the engine gave way. She'd been evicted from her home, so had nowhere else to go. Much to the embarrassment of her son, Bob, Scarlett managed to upset the locals almost immediately, and even ended up in a street scrap with Gina.
She moved into Lily's old flat with daughter Kelly-Marie and son Bob. Her husband, Paddy, was released from jail and caused problems for the family. Scarlett found herself on the receiving end of Paddy's temper, but it took an attack on wee Bob for her to finally get rid of her husband for good.
She used to work alongside Billy, copying dodgy DVDs for McCabe, when Billy decided to turn on the charm, although Scarlett stopped the affair when she learned that Michelle was the mother of Olivia.
Scarlett's eldest son Stevie found himself in trouble with McCabe, so Scarlett shopped him to get him out of McCabe's way. Jimmy, McCabe's man in Montego Street found out what Scarlett had done, but decided not to tell McCabe.
She's shown her fiesty side by standing up to Andrew's dad when he looked down his nose at her daughter, Kelly-Marie, and the Adams family, and she did her best to help Bob get out from the clutches of Lenny. Scarlett developed a crush on the resident priest, Father Michael, and is very good friends with Jimmy, although this went too far when, after Father Michael rejected Scarlett's advances, they had a one-night stand. She doesn't want to take it further. However, Scarlett fell pregnant by Jimmy after their one-night stand and is now the very proud mother of Madonna.
Trouble brewed for the family though, when Kelly returned from Monaco, and split up with Michael, leaving the way for Father Michael's unrequited feelings for Kelly to develop into a relationship between the two of them. Scarlett's nose was put out of joint by this, and she turned her back on her daughter and the wayward priest. She refused to condone their affair and they left Shieldinch without her blessing.
Scarlett then went on a bit of a crusade against the world, with Jimmy taking the brunt of her anger, but when Jimmy started seeing her arch rival, Terri, Scarlett realised something shocking. She loves Jimmy!
Jimmy's accident sent Terri packing, though, and it brought him and Scarlett closer together. The pair are now happily living together and got engaged on Christmas Day!
The arrival of Lydia Murdoch has given Scarlett a new sparring partner. She can't forget that Lenny nearly killed her Bob and Charlie.
