Biography

Iona is Roisin and Shona's minxy younger sister. Being the baby of the family Iona has always got away with a lot; she even had an affair with Shona's first husband, Tony. Iona has recently moved to Shieldinch and wasted no time in making her mark. She had an affair with Marty and it looked like their relationship was becoming more than just sex... until Ruth fell pregnant and Marty dumped Iona. That left Iona in a terrible state - she was convinced Marty loved her and she couldn't accept it's over. She finally persuaded him to admit he had feelings for her and they kissed, but Ruth walked in and caught them!

When Ruth lost her baby she blamed she stress of discovering Marty's infidelity. If there's one person in Shieldinch you don't want to upset it's Ruth, who went mad and beat up Iona. With the support of her ever loyal sisters Iona recovered and moved on with her life. She's even managed to keep her nose clean and has been great since Shona's troubles with Tony came to light. It was Iona who sparked off the technicality that freed her sister from jail.
