Bob Adams

Actor

Stephen Purdon

Bob is getting on with his life, after being left at the altar by Charlie.

Biography

Bob Adams is Scarlett's son and Kelly-Marie's brother. He doted on dad, Paddy, and hung on every word he said but when Paddy came back to Shieldinch he fell into his old ways and got involved with the wrong crowd. Although he tried to keep Bob out of his dodgy deals, Paddy messed up big time. A bitterly disappointed Bob told Paddy he wanted nothing more to do with him.

Bob set up a garage business with his brother, Stevie, but he was again let down by his family when Stevie took off just as the garage opened. Bob's managed to keep things going himself, with the help of best friend Deek balancing the books.

Bob had serious money problems which forced him to borrow more and more from bad boy Lenny. Things got worse when Lenny made plans to take over the garage but thanks to McCabe, Donna and Father Michael, he became debt-free and happy. He allowed Vader and Alanna to take over the caravan he lived in and moved back with his mum, but was gutted when Alex caused the caravan to explode.

He's a lovable rogue, and as much as he wants to be a ladies' man, his patter has never really got him very far. Bob was in love with Zara Malik but that relationship wasn't to be and he asked Michelle to marry him, and vowed to give her everything she wants. However, she left him for Kelvin, the father of Rochelle.

Bob's 'unlucky in love' streak ended when he met Charlie, the cleaner, and they fell in love. He heroically rescued her from the clutches of Lenny - and both men ended up in the Clyde. Thankfully he survived to tell the tale.

The couple have had their difficulties - a chat between Bob & Deek was misunderstood, leaving Charlie angry that Bob might just be wanting to get her into bed and she was determined to hold on to her virginity. They argued and split up. Charlie rushed off to a party, got drunk and slept with Liam! She couldn't remember what happened but let everyone go along with Bob's theory - that Liam raped her. When the truth finally came out Bob was horrified. They finally got back together and have been very happy.

Lenny's return from the grave has disturbed both Bob and Charlie but particularly Bob. They received compensation money from the police, connected with Eddie's docks bust, and have used it to buy one of Marty's flats but it bothered Bob that he's using this blood money for their future. Charlie's over-excited shopping trips for their new home annoyed him and eventually the whole situation blew up and the couple split.

Happily, the whole debacle made him see sense and the two are back together... properly engaged!
