Judges
The three judges have a wealth of experience in the world of comedy. They'll be whittling down entries to find the final 2 endings in The Last Laugh competition.

The Last Laugh
Natalie Casey Ash Atalla Adam Chase
For the past 5 years Natalie has been firmly ensconced in the sitcom world, playing one of the lead roles, Donna, in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Her TV career started aged 3, singing top 100 hit 'Chick Chick Chicken' on Top of the Pops; followed by years of ads and modelling, before landing the role of Carol in Hollyoaks. She then graduated into the heady world of MTV, where she interviewed Britney and snogged Huey from The Fun Loving Criminals! With her comedy acting pedigree, she’ll be able to spot a killer line or two.
As Comedy Editor for Talkback Thames, Ash Atalla is a successful television producer with a string of hits and awards under his belt; his most well known producer credit is for The Office. However, he didn't start at such a dizzy height: his first job in the BBC was as an unpaid researcher for Watchdog. Nice.
He sees sitcom as the most difficult of TV genres, particularly trying to make comedy relevant to people's everyday lives. His top tip? It's better to have no joke than a crap one.
Adam's career began on a show that took the world by storm: team writer on the, then, relatively unknown, Friends. He then moved from writer to producer, before finally ending up as Executive Producer. He is a great fan of the American team-writing process on sitcom, and while he is envious of the control British writers have over their sitcoms, he knows American writers get paid an awful, awful lot more! So you know where to head if you win this competition.
