Latest report from the BBC Scotland Travel team Updated: Friday, 17 Jul 2009 18:00:56 BST
Very heavy downpours are causing problems for drivers in many parts this afternoon, so drive carefully.
The A9 approaching Dalwhinnie is now re-open southbound after a lorry shed its load.
On the A9 north of Perth, roadworks at Bankfoot could slow you down.
In Edinburgh the A70 Dalry Road remains closed between the A8 Haymarket and the A71 Gorgie Road because of a fire last weekend.
In Glasgow, the northbound Clyde Tunnel is down to one lane for emergency repairs. There is severe congestion here, with traffic tailing back to the eastbound M8 off-slip at Junction 25 Cardonald.
And drivers should prepare for delays on the main routes in and out of Turnberry, on the A77 and the A719.
Finlly Calmac's Stornoway Ullapool sailings have been cancelled tonight due to technical problems.
