BBC Scottish Sports Personality of the Year

Chris Hoy Chris Hoy - Sprint Cyclist
Chris is the current Scottish and Commonwealth 1km record holder and the British 500m record holder. This season he picked up two gold medals in the World Cup in Cape Town, a gold in the International GP in London and a bronze medal in the team sprint 1km time-trial in Stuttgart. He was recently named Scottish Sports Personality of the Year at the Commonwealth Sports Awards.
Lee McConnell Lee McConnell - Athletics
The 400m star finished second at this year's European Cup and followed that up with second in the GB, USA and Russia tournament. Lee recently reached the final of the 400m at the World Championships where she finished seventh.
James McFadden James McFadden - Football
At last, a Scottish player with natural flair and a 'gallus' nature. McFadden scored 32 goals in 70 appearances for a struggling Motherwell side before securing a £1.25 million move to Everton on the eve of the transfer deadline. The forward came off the bench in the second half against the Faroes in the Euro 2004 qualifiers to score his first international goal.

David Millar David Millar - Cycling
Millar won the World Time Trial in Canada in October this year following an earlier win in the Tour de Picardie, a final-stage victory in the Tour de France and an impressive triumph in the 14.4 km time trial in Medina de Pomar.
Emma Richards Emma Richards - Sailing
Emma became the first British woman and the youngest competitor ever to sail around the world single-handedly when she travelled from New York to Rhode Island earlier this year.
