Tried and Tested: Bodyline wetsuits
I bought this three years ago from Derek at Hebsurf (Isle of Lewis). It's got a 5mm body, with 3mm on the arms and legs. It's handstitched and it's made by a New Zealand company called BodyLine.

It's one of those zipless ones and is like a second skin when I'm in the water - it's that comfortable and flexible.

It's hardwearing too - I've worn this one whilst gorge walking, caving, surfing (winter and summer in Aberdeen), sailing and canoeing and the water feels the same temp all year round, I think.

Every other wettie I've owned has split around the shoulders after a year or so.

This one's the best and I think everyone should get one. It only cost me 200 notes, which is cheap as chips for a wetsuit.

Do you have any pieces of kit that you swear by? Email us (airtight@bbc.co.uk) with a review and we'll put it live. Cheers.
