What's your opinion on mainstream sports, like football and rugby?
Whatever floats your boat, really.

But you've got no personal interest?
None, particularly.

What is your main priority for life right now, today?
Keep Katrina happy.

Is she your girlfriend?
Yes. Ma wee star.

What was your priority ten years ago?

To make sure my eight ball bearings were working, regardless of the ABEC.

How do you feel about ABEC ratings?
Couldnae give a [exploitive deleted].

What did your school reports say about you?
Probably that I was voted 'Most Likely to Succeed' [smiles].

Were you really?
Yeah [laughs].

How was school?
School was alright, I suppose. I left as soon as I could, but I suppose you've got to go, don't you? There's nae point trying to fight it - it's inevitable.

You've got to learn to read.
Aye - and write. Well, it helps.

What are your ambitions, both for skating and personally?
For skateboarding - good times with good friends, that's all I'm bothered about. Getting a sesh goin' on.
Personal ambitions [sighs]. Wow. I think more on a day-to-day basis, I don't…I guess just keep breathing, really.

What's goin' on with you and your skatin' right now?
Things are real hectic for me right now, due to the fact that Katrina and I have just bought a house together and it needs a lot of work done to it to make it homely, like, ken! Ah'm reppin' Public stuff in Scotland now as well, so that's takin' up some of my precious free time, but I'm fully into it. It's good to think that I'm helpin' Nick get this [exploitive deleted] up and runnin', as he's in it for all the right reasons. Also, ah've been kind'a busy tryin' to get a section together for the first Focus vid' - aboot time tae! Ah'm in the middle of goin' pro for Public tae, so ah'm workin' on graphic's for ma board with ma mate Simon.

What would paradise be?
[Affects a deep voice] Serenity.

Hip-hop or metal?
Metal

Led Zep or Motorhead?
Motorhead. But then, what about Meatloaf vs Brian Adams?

Which would it be, then?

Meatloaf, every time. Bat outta Hell!

Do you think that you need to leave Scotland in order to make it big in skating?
No, not at all. You've got to leave yer hoose!

What's your favourite chippy?
It was The Kimberly, in Tranent, where I grew up eating chippies just about every night.

Favourite supper?
Deep fried pizza and chips, it's gotta be.

Battered pizza?
It depends on what they've got - if they can batter it up, then I'll take it.

Always salt 'n sauce?
Occasionally I'll get salt 'n vinegar, it depends on what kind of a mood I'm in at the time.
