DIY Grind Plate

This tip may work for different skates although I've only done it on USD thrones.

When grinding away at the boot until there wasn't much left, I decided to try to add an old sole plate from a pair of Majestic 12s. These sole plates were the ones that went on the front of the skate and not the whole length of it.

While doing this I didn't take the frame off, as it acted as a guide to how much space was there and how much sanding was to be done. A ruler would have been of use, but I couldn't be bothered!

Unfortunately, there are no photos of these steps and there once again isn't very much of the skates left, as this I did this in May or June and it's now November.

It's a fairly simple task, although it does take some time. Hopefully I'll be able to explain it in a way you'll understand without sending everyone to sleep:

Now, onto the fix...
