What are your plans for after your skating days are over? Would you like to still be involved in the industry?
Yeah, I'd hope to - I'd like to still stay in it. I'd never like to stop, so I'd like to hook up with somebody and do something for a company - maybe a distributing company or something.

How do you think rollerblading in the UK compares with the USA?
Well, sometimes when you go abroad, people go 'Where are you from?' and you say 'Scotland' and they say 'Where's that?' - you know, they don't know about anyone out here. But lately, I think people are beginning to recognise that there are people in this country that are up to their standards in America.

Who would you say is the most underrated skater in this country at the moment?
In this country? There's so many. One I would have to say would be Brian Adams - he's so underrated and he's the one - he's the next person to come from here [who'll be big].

Do you think the SYS event in Glasgow went as well as it could have done, or could it have been better?
Nah - it couldn't have been better in any way, it was perfect. There was about 400 people just turned up and had fun. Like some people didn't even skate, they just came for fun and there were people who don't even skate who were just following to watch what was going on. It was just a great time, you know?

All the kids at Unit 23 always talk about the vast fortune that you're going to get at the end of the year through your sponsors. Would you like to set the record straight?
I'm not allowed to talk about stuff like that [laughs]. It's enough to live off - I'll say that.

Are you going to buy anything extravagant with it?
I don't know, man, I'll probably just put it into apartments and buying and selling, or something like that. I'm not going to bust it, if that's what you're thinking.

You're not indulgent?
Nah - I'm not like that. Any money I get I just spend on alcohol [laughs]. I'm not like all 'let's get flash - let's get a car'. I'll buy a house, and just sell it or something, but I'm not flash. I'd rather just sit in a hole and get drunk.

Do you find that alcohol hinders your skating?
No, not in any way [laughs]! It just makes me feel a little bit happier at the end of the day [laughs].

Do you ever drink while you're skating?
Sometimes, and alright, it'll be fun, but you don't learn new tricks doing that [laughs]. Plus I've got a contract saying that I'm not allowed to do that s***, you know [laughs]!

Is there anything that I haven't asked that people should know about you?
Now really. There's a lot of things that you don't want to know [laughs].

Have you got any shout outs or is there anyone you'd like to thank?
Just all my family and all my friends, and Salomon and all my other sponsors. Just all the people who put me where I am.
