BMX site in Aberdeen
ABERDEEN

Chris M has sent us in loads of Aberdeen spots with nice pics, so use the dropdown above to check them out.

For more spots in and around the City of Granite, check Slim Jim's list below:

STREET:

Westburn Park, (Westburn Road): Benches, some steps, ledges and a half pipe.

Rubeslaw Playing Field, (Queens Road): Huge, curved wall ride in the top field.

St Machar Halfpipe, (St Machar Playing Fields): Decent half pipe

Aberdeen Skatepark - A decent park, but not the best layout. Said to open again in summer 2003

DIRT:

Hazelhead Bomb-Hole, (beside Dobbies Garden Centre in Hazelhead): There are two parts of the bomb-hole: the first is just like a big dirt skatepark with doubles, berms and a good roll-in with a big tabletop and a few other jumps. The second is about two minutes away and starts off with a huge North-Shore syle roll-in, with doubles set one after another.

Bielside BMX Track, (Cults): Council-built BMX track. Pretty small but OK to ride. It has a decent berm and a few small jumps. There is also a halfpipe right next to the track.

Bielside Trails, (Cults - 5min walk from the BMX track) - Basically a big downhill course with big gaps and doubles.

Know any good spots? Then why not email them to us: airtight@bbc.co.uk - cheers!
