How long have you been riding?
I've been riding for about three and a half years now, I think. Maybe four.

How did you start out?
Well, my mum bought me a mountain bike, and I remember going past Kelvingrove Park and seeing the Glasgow Young Team riding there. And I thought it looked fun so I went and joined, and that's how it all began.

You joined in on your mountain bike?
Yes. Cruised about and was sort of the outcast on the mountain bike.

And who did you ride with?
The Glasgow Young Team were Frasier, Keith and Rab. They were the people I remember.

What was your first BMX?
A GT Dyno.

How long did it last?
About a year or two. That's what I learned to do all my wee feebles and that on.

Did you sell it or did it die?
I gave it to Kieran from down the road to use. I'd bought it off a guy called Jacob for £100, which was a real bump at the time but I thought it was a really good bike [laughs], so that was that.

How many other bikes have you had/broken since?
My next bike was a DK Eight Pack and it was brilliant, it was my favourite bike I've ever had and I snapped that, and then I had an Eastern Jane which I hated and I snapped that.

Why did you hate the Jane?
Because it was so heavy and it was long and it just looked horrible. It was just awful [laughs].

What are you riding now?
I'm riding a McNeil Ruben Alcantara frame. It's brilliant, I like it. It's not as good as my DK though [laughs].
