How
did you get into BMX?
Well originally, I wanted to start mountain biking, but I couldnt
afford all the parts, so I just got myself a £200 bike and got
into it through that. Met a few people and kept riding from there.
What kind of thing do you like to ride most?
Pretty much street all the way, but Ill ride anything really,
but mainly street.
What is it about street that gets you going?
I dont know, I just like the idea that nothings the same
wherever you go. Just like, one set of steps isnt the same as
another set and one ledge isnt the same as another, and all
the different rails and stuff. Whereas park, to me, a quarter is just
a quarter and maybe thats just me because I dont ride
too much park.
How come you ride brakeless?
Well Ive been riding brakeless pretty much ever since I started
riding, cos pretty much as soon as I got my bike, I [insert
expletive] my brakes, so I took them
off, and Ive just rode brakeless ever since. So I cant
really work a brake, so theres no point in putting one on.
Do you think that riding brakeless helps you improve certain areas
of your riding?
It definitely improves your over all bike control, because you have
to get the balance perfect otherwise theres not much you can
do about it. So it definitely improves your over all bike control.
Where are you from originally?
Just north of Aberdeen, in Banff.
Whats the riding like
up there?
Theres some not bad street up there, but other than that, theres
[insert expletive]
all really.
