About Dot Dash

Dot Dash is about firing out your ideas – fast. Whether you're writing a story or planning a business venture, the best way to come up with good ideas is to have loads of them. With Dot Dash you can open your mind to lots of ideas, no matter how impossible they might seem. Create a map of all your ideas and see your thought process right in front of you.

Step by step guide for Dot Dash
  1. Step 1
    Type into the first dot, and click 'Enter' to make another one.
  2. Step 2
    Click into a dot to highlight it. Use the colour wheel to change the colour of the highlighted dot.
  3. Step 3
    You can reposition the dots by dragging them around.
  4. Step 4
    To zoom out of the dots, click into the background or click +. To zoom in, click into a dot or click -.
  5. Step 5
    To add an image, highlight a dot and click 'Add image'. If you want a random word or image to appear, select 'Lucky Dip'.
  6. Step 6
    When you're done, click 'Finish' to 'Save', 'Print' or 'Flip' your ideas to another Pinball tool.
Keyboard Controls

Type to create words, and click ENTER to make another dot. Use UP and DOWN ARROWS to move around the dots. Use TAB and ENTER to move around the other buttons. When in the colour wheel, use 'U' and 'D' keys to move through the colours, and ENTER to select.
