Julie's diary: Young Scot nomination

27 February 2008

Julie McElroy

Two weeks ago I was nominated for the Young Scots of Year, Sunday Mail Reader’s Award and then a few days later I told by Heather Greenway, a journalist for the Sunday Mail told me I had made the shortlist of 42 entries.

Last week, I was told I was a ‘finalist’ in my category. I was chuffed to bits when I was told the news. I couldn’t believe it, I was left speechless. The process happened so quickly and the news hasn’t sunk in. I am so excited to be attending the award ceremony on the 20th of March. Can’t wait!
