'Twisted Hand'. Their 'Short Strings' EP was fantastic!
Twisted Hand - Short Strings EP
Play - Short Strings EPThis band should have gone on to do more.
Twisted Hand
Twisted Hand's Short Strings EP. If you can find this rare "7" single from the 80's give it a spin. You did play it at the time. Spawned from the radioactive village of Garelochhead, Twisted Hand consisted of 3 bored dissafected youths and a former Fall drummer and combined the sound of young Scotland with the rhythms of the Manchester punk scene. Garelochhead's only claim to fame!
Brian Smith
Toxik Ephex from Aberdeen. Wild Side of Life.A great young punk/folk band with tons of enthusiasm in north east.
Toxik Ephex
The letter "T" can only mean one thing. Aberdeen's finest punk combo Toxic Ephex. I would be happy to hear any track beaming it's way to Spain. Is that legal? Who cares!
stu
toxic ephex shades of grey - a classic!!
Keilan Knight
Toxik Ephex - The Other Half LivesA hard hitting punk rock epic with socially concious lyrics, more relevant today than ever....
Turbochicken
Please please please add Toxik Ephex. Social Control or Civilised.
Deek Polloi
It's got to be the mighty TOXIK EPHEX - no contest! Amazing band live and every song sticks in your head afterwards. Had the pleasure of touring with them back in the 80's and saw them again last year and they're still top notch! Any track off their "Nobby Porthole" LP would be great - every one is a classic. This compilation started getting drastically better when it reached the letter "R" - let's keep it going!!
Keith (Sweat) Thomson
As one of the founding members of the original band line up, it would only be right & proper to see you playing Toxic Ephex's Police Brutality as part of your A to Z set.. Go the Toxic's... Go Inspector Blake...!
marto
Toxik Ephex. arrrgg
Beanz
OK, I'll vote for Toxik too, not 'cause I like them, but they're better than Travis ;)
Ivor
the Tremens! 'Westenders'. the Tremens were as unique as any scottish band I have ever heard!Influences from classic punk, Tom Waits, Pogues, Jacque Brel, and Polish folk dance, topped off with pure Glasgow street lyrics ... amazing!
Flash of The Moorings Bar
Toxik Ephex - Shades of Grey, a great track for the eco conscious 21st Century.
London Calling
Came across Toxik Ephex by accident whilst in Aberdeen. Quite honestly one of the best live bands I've seen... ever. Wish they were based down here in London as might get to see them.... our loss (England that is). Still this is a Scottish Music list and a list which would be in-complete without these guys on. Any tune but how about 'the other half lives', or 'social control' ... both as relevant to todays political climate as they were in the thatcher era!
fat davie
toxik ephex....you know you want to...any track!

Gotta Play Toxik Ephex for the Letter T fantastic Band that has trully traveled all over Scotland I remeber seeing then numerous times in the Shetlands in the 80's. These guys were the fore runners of bands like Flogging Molly, etc bringing in tradtional Scottish instruments such as bag pipes and fiddles into a punk mix.
Nicki

Toxik Ephex, Just like Irn Bru, Tunnocks Tea Cakes, Square sausage, Fried pizza & tucking your trackies into your socks are a uniquely scottish institution and should be honoured and treasured as such. Play any (or all) of their songs- they are all brilliant (even the bad ones).

Toxik ephex, aberdeen's premier punk band, still kickin' ass after 30 years.Supported by another "T" on their anniversary "The last divide"; unsung heroes of the aberdeen indie music scene.
Murdo Morrison
Toxic Ephex for sure - take your pick of tracks but their version of Wild Side Of Life was always a winner back in the 62 Club in Aberdeen
Dod McKnight
Lots of love for Scotland's greatest punk band, and I've got to agree that Toxik Ephex with 2 of their finest line-ups Freddy on bass and Dod Copeland on vocals making this a definite inclusion in the 'T' category 'Bonnie Wee Jeannie McColl' or 'Police Brutality'
Murdo Morrison
Toxic Ephex for sure - take your pick of tracks but their version of Wild Side Of Life was always a winner back in the 62 Club in Aberdeen

I'll go with Toxik Ephex. A worthy addition to any compilation and they also highlight how diverse Scottish music can be. It's not all roaming in the gloaming with Travis.
Deadwood
The mighty Toxik Ephex - Scotland's finest anarcho punk band and circus act. Total entertainment!
Bayko
Forget the rest, it has to be the mighty Toxik Ephex. You should play Always Skint - mighty appropriate after today's budget.

Ian Glasper
Toxik Ephex were a great band - use any track... they're all good!
John Sangster
I think Toxik Ephex deserve a mention if not a play on the show, either "Bonnie Wee Jeanie McCall or "Wild Side of Life". Toxik are amazing live and at their peak were one of the countrys top bands, I first came across them when they were raising money for charity by shaving Mikey Gloo Pimps armpits in Union terrace Aberdeen. A great band, fantastic people and deserve to be remembered as a class act
Billy Aitken
Play some TOXIK EPHEX ya bam. Always Skint would be good........and fairly topical in these credit crunching times.
Ivor
Toxik Ephex! I first saw them when in 1979 when I was 13 and thought they were amazing. more recently, I saw them play their 30th anniversary gig .... and they still seriously ROCK!Any track will do. Play them all!
