Up and coming band The Strike Nineteens deserve a shot at this!! Their single, Delicate, which was recorded and produced by Gordon Goudie of Echo and the Bunnymen, is awesome! Scottish music at it's best!

Either Shop Assistants 'Somewhere In China' or the Shamen 'Jesus Loves America.' Or, for that matter, Simple Minds with 'The American,' the Skids with 'Into The Valley,' Silicome Soul, Sexy Kids, the Silencers, Soup Dragons, Sluts of Trust, Sons & Daughters, Sexy Kids, Strawberry Switchblade...there's loads!

Hi Vic, Looking past the obvious choices How about we go back to the halcyon days when late 60s pop was turning into early 70s rock. My choice is Spiggy Topes. I'm not sure they ever released a record as Spiggy Topes although they were the first North East Band to sighn a major contract when they became Cliff Bennett's Rebellion. Somewhere there must be recordings they made for the old Radio 1 Club. If you could find the song "White Ghost," written by their bass player, Johnny Gray, about a ghost who supposedly haunts the graveyard at Beauly Church
