Tom in Ayrshire. All I can contribute to your search regarding The Passkeepers is that they had a tune called 'Generating', which I have an exceptionally hiss-filled recording of from the great Peter Easton's old 'Beat Patrol'. One of the band also played in a band called The Totters and had a tune called 'A Step of Faith', which was weird and wonderful and, again, I have a recording of it, full of hiss.Vic, as for your A-Z of Scottish music, 'L' has to be Lowlife and the gorgeous 'Colours Blue', or 'Ramamfied'. A truly, truly Great Lost Band.......

To Tom in Ayrshire I dunno if you've been able to come up with any info. I'm not going to be much help either by the looks of it. I bumped into Ramos Girocashir about ten years ago, at that time he said he was freelance sports writing. I havent seen nor heard from any of the other members of The Tremins (Michaela or Joe) other than Ian McColl whom I bump into now and then, and seems to have a knack of getting himself in the papers every so often for all the wrong reasons. Chris went on to play with the 'Toy's out their boxes' with Max(Edith and the Lady's) and Cookie other than that I dunno what happened to Chris or Cookie but last I seen Max was singing with the Alex Harvey band. Hen Broon Tremins drummer.

Hi Vic....love the show......Tattie Toes last week were....well, quite different...but hey,Maxton Granger and Howie were quite obscure too? that's the beauty of the show I suppose...the diversity of Scottish music......probably too late for the letter 'D'? just home in the car........but would have chosen Dogs Die in Hot Cars - I Love You, Cause I Have To'...so sincere!!.....anyway, your show, I was explaining to my 16 year old son tonight, is similar to when I tuned into Peel, Peter Easton and Andy Kershaw to hear all the latest from around the world in their rawness.......now you are that man!.......so, with that compliment Vic, can you help me out?!.........I am Looking for info. on 2 Scottish bands from around 1985-6-ish.....The Tremins and The Passkeepers....have you heard?.....maybe a wee mention on one of your shows would trigger some thought...just maybe......many thanks in advance Vic, and keep bringing us the latest in Scottish Music,,,amongst others of course!....Tom in Ayrshire

I'd love to see vivamelodica when the A to Z gets to the letter v! Viva's tunes are excellent, they've done some live sets with radio Scotland and they seem to have gone a bit quiet of late :(

The Delgados - Everybody Come Down

Hi VicDanny WIlson - surely by far the best of that 80s crop of Scottish bands. Why not play "I Can't Wait" in preference to "Mary's Prayer" or "Second Summer of Love"?
