David Walliams

Multi-talented funny man David Walliams joins us to read from his new book Gangsta Granny and answer questions about his writing and inspiration.

David believes that if you can get kids laughing while you tell them a good story, they're much more likely to see reading as something "which is a fun thing to do".

The event is suitable for everyone but particularly targeted at 8 to 12 year olds.

Authors Live was shortlisted for best Primary Digital Content at the BETT Awards.

Authors Live is produced in association with the Scottish Book Trust and Creative Scotland. The Scottish Book Trust is the leading agency for the promotion of literature, reading and writing in Scotland and their Authors Live programme is funded by Creative Scotland's First in a Lifetime Fund. About Authors Live

Authors Live is a series of live webcasts, presented in partnership with the Scottish Book Trust, featuring some of the biggest names writing books for children today. The series began on Thursday 4 March 2010 – World Book Day – with two sessions featuring children's poet and former Children's Laureate Michael Rosen.
