Visit to Bute

Last week, during my foray off Lewis, I had occasion to visit the Isle of Bute. Was a bit unfortunate with the weather, in that it rained during the first 3 hours, but had some decent sunshine later on.

is the middle "standing" stone actually "standing" or is it more like leaning on that bar?

Are you sure that the picture of Glen Rosa isn't Glen Sannox, with the jagged peaks of Caisteal Abhail on the right, Cir Mhor behind them and Goat Fell on the left?

I have been in Lewis since late 2004 and am observing life on this fascinating island from an outsider's perspective. I look out at the lighthouse every day - as it looks out over the island and the sea.
