Mainland Islander

Well, we have heard that everyone is still in one piece on the island despite the best efforts of Mother Nature...can't say the same for the roads, fences and any other items which may or may not have been bolted down!

By the wonder of new technology we had seen photographs of the mess left behind before we had spoken to our kin by 'phone...the lines were still down.

However, compared to some of the other islands, not least Benbecula, we escaped relatively unscathed. Our thoughts are with them.
