Is there anyone out there who could tell me about the Iron Stone Mines of long ago in Partick. I am trying to find my relatives, and my grandfather was an Ironstone Miner. All atributes would be appreciated. His name was Beveridge Hay.
Thank you kindly

I have recently learned that my great great grandfather William Thom was an ironstone miner. He lived in Maryhill Glasgow and I believe he was at the Blackhill mine. I think it was the Summerdee & Mossend Iron & Steel Co. Maryhill. The manager was a John Halliday.
