Margaret Strachan from Aberdeen. Posted 10 Mar 2002.
We went to the beach ballroom on Monday nights. The men there were all charming and polite and would ask nicely if they could have a dance with you.

If you met someone you would go for tea and cake with them that night, we wouldn’t go off drinking. We’d usually be in time for the last bus, but I remember if you missed it, it was a long walk home!

Are you related to Jim or Agnes Strachan formally of Kintore? My maiden name is Anderson of Mackie Steps Skene.
