WHAT??!! Don't tell me I have come back ready to switch my brain on and start thinking when it has finished and that's the end of Lost Penny. Has it finished and I have done basically nothing to help? Sorry Donna, I have been pretty useless. haha

Long time since I've had anything to add,but have been following the events.A book which is horribly thought provoking of people with a power over the minds of others is "Carrion Comfort" by Dan Simmons...not for the faint hearted !

So should we be looking at Scotlands History to see any other similarities to the mystery of the Stone of Destiny?

Message from Simone
Okay, we know Donna has travelled to Penny's world to halt the transitions of travellers from her world to ours! My goodness, she must be feeling the weight of the 'worlds' on her shoulders now huh?! hehe Seriously though, I know Donna couldn't have reached her destination if it hadn't been for all your help so on behalf of Donna Dunbar - thank you. But... just because a little incident such as Donna travelling to another world to meld with her parallel self to fight against evil in order to protect our history from the interfering parallel travellers (and breathe!) doesn't mean we have to get off the bus just yet :) If you'd like to share your thoughts on the development of Donna's story. Please get in touch. Remember, you never know where the road will end or just how significant your role will be in the future of Lost Penny. ;) S. x

I saw this UFO yesterday night too! I was visiting a friend in Perth and saw the mysterious light from the car. It moved around the sky so fast. At one point it shot down close to the ground like an electrical discharge.

Is this really the end? No , I didnt try to mislead you. I was genuinely trying to help you look for something tangible... I took my grandchildren up Moncrieff Hill. Young Ben threw a stone at his sister. Was that Destiny? Bye Bye Donna

Message from Simone
I got a text from Donna late afternoon yesterday telling me to go to Moncrieff Hill to collect the camera. I posted the film asap and when I got home I discovered an email from her. I thought you should all see it. This is what it said: By the time you read this Simone I'll have travelled with Penny through to her world. After a successful transition it's our plan to meld together as quickly as possible. Penny is undertaking this course of action in the full knowledge that her personality will not survive. It will be for me to use her life energy - our combined power to halt the transitions of travellers from her world to ours. It's a heartbreaking sacrifice but we're convinced it's necessary. Maybe one day I'll be able to return to my "tedious flux of time". Until then keep your wits about you and work together to identify and expose these travellers. Watch for anyone who through their actions and deceit is careless of the chaos they bring to our today. Search our yesterdays for evidence of their past interference. It's important you expose as many of the stains that they've left behind as you can. All of this, and the action I'll take, will start the fight to protect our future. Keep strong. Keep free. Keep organised. Lol Donna Dunbar.

Hi Donna- I've been following this for a while now, it's getting really exciting! ...I've got a feeling that you should be careful with Neil - if his last name is Scott, ask him why he posted Claire's video ("Ttocsclien")!

News from Donna
Just a bit of housekeeping! I have to let you know that Claire has been thrown out of Lost Penny. On Tuesday evening David and Sandra alerted me to the news that Claire had released an off site video asking the membership of Lost Penny to stop using the Lost Penny email for reasons of security and to use a new email address - donnadunbar@hotmail - instead. Pretending to be me Claire then used this new account and pumped friends of Lost Penny for information about the picture and the handbook. I think she must have taken this 'wild' action because I'd recently password protected the Lost Penny email account. I'd also kept secret the news that David had discovered a picture called Freedom by Vivant Denon for sale on eBay. (Make a bid for Freedom!) On Wednesday night I managed to outbid another buyer (maybe Claire or someone else from the FOF) and bought the picture. I then worked out a plan with David and Sandra to use the hotmail account and set a trap for Claire. By email Donna was offered a meeting in Edinburgh where the picture would be handed over to her. Claire, still posing as me, agreed to the arrangement but said she would send a 'trusted friend' to pick it up. I was shocked to see who turned up. But Neil claims that Claire asked him to collect the picture and she told him that I knew all about the arrangement. I'm quite sure that Neil is telling the truth and was as much a victim as I was meant to be. The real picture is safe and should be with me tonight. Thanks to all of you for your help behind the scenes but thanks particularly to those friends that helped me set this trap. We got her!

Apologies Pinky but it's getting harder and harder for me to trust anyone right now. The really exciting news is that with the help of David and Sandra we've found where the handbook is hidden. If all goes well I should have it secured by 10.00pm tonight and have it in my hands in a couple of days. Can't say how as I don't want the FOF to get in on the act. The end is near now.
Tue Feb 3 11:15:49 2009

Donna I just want to reassure you I have no connection to Tony, FOF or anything else. Just the clues on the video made me think of Braveheart and the fact that the Bridge is not in the film even at the battle.

What a wonderful thing the internet is googled Bryan Beattie again and found his company. I read that his wife Emer manages a group called Cliar (think it means 'Learn') a Gaelic 'supergroup'. They use music to communicate highland oral history! Now thinking out of the box here if we think the FOF have got to Beattie, have they got to her? If they haven't then can she help us? Maybe we can work together to help get her husband back. Also I found out that Beattie worked with the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness. Maybe he put the picture there for safe keeping? As for Vivant Denon, he had an interesting life but nothing regarding FOF at the moment. I'm still trying to get my head around twins merging with Napoleon and Hitler. The thing is I've always thought that they were ordinary people with great power that just over reached themselves, causing them in the end to lose. But now, maybe not! Still supporting you Donna! As for you Tony: TELL US WHERE THE FOF HANDBOOK IS!
Mon Feb 2 10:58:35 2009
Sandra
Do you really think that members of the FOF are posting on the wonderboard? I looked back at Tony's postings and some of them do point/push towards the wrong things! I also looked again at the Beattie videos, does anyone know what map is on the wall?

Thanks Sandra. I know you had a busy weekend so appreciate the time and effort. Also I think you're on to it. The picture that disappeared from behind Beattie! That's what we have to find -but where would he hide a picture? Amongst other pictures? A gallery? Hi David - you linked Vivant Denon to the Louvre in Paris. Could that be it? I'm not sure how would Beattie get his picture in there. Also how would we get it out? We're close to something here! We've got to move fast and I think that if anyone manages to crack it then please use the email link:lostpenny@bbc.co.uk. That comes direct to me and I've password protected the inbox. Tony might not be the only FOF agent snooping around. I've a concern about one of the team at the BBC. Keep safe and let's make that bid for freedom!
Sun Feb 1 10:31:44 2009
For Tony from Donna Dunbar.
Tony, I'm kicking myself. Looking back through your messages it's so obvious what's happened here. From the start you've been antagonistic towards Beattie. You're clearly trying to steer me away from contact with what he knows - just the sort of behaviour that one would expect from a member of the FOF. On the 13 December you complained of 'another Tony' trying to take your place on the site and steal your credit - was that when the switch took place? Is that when the FOF decided they needed to boost your powers and melded you with a traveller? (Very subtle touch with your email address by the way traveller!) Then there were all the complaints about the technical problems you were having watching our videos? They all started as Beattie got in contact with me. That was just to run us down wasn't it? To waste our time and undermine people's confidence in the Lost Penny site. All your help with the clues sounded so plausible but now that I look again they always tried to push us on to the wrong track. Just like your latest push towards Stirling Bridge. So is Pinkie you or is Pinkie another FOF agent? Your two most recent messages have been trying to push me and my friends away from finding the handbook and you've continued to blow off the FOF as unimportant. You don't like it when I talk about other worlds do you? Your tone betrays the panic of an organisation that knows its days are numbered. You're right Tony. Penny and I will destroy Les Fils d'Ossian Fraternite - we are on to you Tony.

Right! Here's some of my ideas about the handbook clue. It was time for all good men and women to make their bid for freedom" Dunno why but it makes me think of the Declaration of Arbroath. But I don't remember mentioning or discussing this before so I don't think that's it. With regards to "and to try to see the whole picture and see what is missing" I can only think about the Beattie video where the picture of someone resembling Donna disappeared from his wall. Should we find this picture, is the handbook hidden in the back of it? I've looked back at the video and also wonder if the other pictures are significant are they some of the paintings commissioned by Napoleon dipicting scenes from the Ossian poems? A final thought I've had about the "and to try to see the whole picture and see what is missing" clue is have we to watch the Stone of Destiny film and find out which parts of the story are missing? Will there be further clues in the film?? I for one don't really want to see the film as I've heard some bad reviews of it. Anyway brain hurts am away to rest it!!

Donna , stick to dancing or your other universe... not both. I really cant see any point in all the video clips. They say nothing in a convoluted way. Even if the so called handbook is found and supposing FoF is eventually explained, so what? Once again , I ask: is there any point/goal in being involved further? Shall follow the quest but may not participate. (Do you remember that you asked- was it two months ago or in a former life- if anyone knew who Beattie was? I recognised him and warned you off him then. You should have listened.

Hi Pinky and Tony, thanks for the Stirling Bridge suggestion. It's really clever thinking but I'm just not convinced. If Beattie is trying to tell us where the handbook is hidden wouldn't his clue take us to a specific spot - like the grave stone in Stirling? Or to a specific event? His clue on the 3rd of Dec' played on words - on the way we interpreted his message. So that's what we need to do with his latest clue. "It was time for all good men and women to make a bid for freedom. And to try to see the whole picture and see what is missing" What's interesting is that Penny told me that she'd heard from the old guy that the FOF were interested in something Sandra had picked up on. I've warned Sandra about this and she's trying to think what it is they think she knows or said! David thanks for your support - thanks to all of you that've been willing to keep an open mind.
Fri Jan 30 11:28:21 2009
David
Now that I've had the brain dump a few days ago I can now think. Watching the clips and being a guy who has an open mind I want to make a point. Why can't it all be true? If Penny comes from a paralell world she will have learned a diffrent history. Maybe, in her world, Edward does not take the stone? Does Bruce win? In her world maybe Gaelic is the common language and Scotland is independent. FOF HANDBOOK SORRY NOTHING AT THE MOMENT. I do belive in some of the ideas Donna has talked about and given us. For instance I can not believe that we are alone in this universe. Why can't there be other earths? I do believe that your time here is only a short part of your journey and that you come back again and again. BY THE WAY I HAVE NOT BEEN TAKEN OVER BY MY OTHER HALF EVEN THOUGH I LIVE NEAR BONNYBRIDGE LOL

David
Where to begin? I have been involved with this quest from the beginning - helping Donna. We started looking at Scottish history and now we're going down a different road. I have enjoyed playing this quest and the real feeling of the quest and how addictive it can be. Now where? As it says in my profile I'm an internet surfer and I'm going to go through what I've found in this big wide internet world. Ossian and James Macpherson are fakes. The works of Ossian are fake, made up by James Macpherson. Napoleon did not have a twin! You've found Penny. What is it that she wants you to do? Why can't she do it on her own? Who is the old guy? Did she tell you about him and is he helping her? Where is Beattie? Does Penny know? Can we get the fiddle music that he wrote for his daughter? It might have a clue in it? FOF - What does it stand for? This may help us. Ask Claire. Claire - is she still in hiding? Can not find FOF hand book anywhere! The works of Ossian are the only things that come through when I search in the Google book site. Parallel universes - do I believe in this? From what I've read it does go along the same lines as Spiritualism and I've read many books on that. But energy sources, atoms moving around, other universes? I don’t know enough to make a comment. In Europe they have a big machine with atoms spinning around trying to create a big bang effect. Why? So they can prove it happened. Many things that are true in this world can not be proven – yet. So why do we mock Donna? Question -why are you and Penny to join? Why? No offence Donna but is it because you are the creative one and Penny got the brains?! Did not mean that to sound like it does but Penny's clues were hard if you know what I mean. I don't believe Napoleon joined with his other side/twin. Neither did Hitler. But it could be proven through the parallel world's theory. Look at Red Dwarf and Doctor Who. They have dealt with this issue. As for the statement by Noreen I can't find anything as yet. This message started positive but ended up as a brain dump. Still feel the clues are there. What we all need to do is pull it all together. Donna you need to get back in contact with Penny. She needs to help us finish this. Sorry this message is so long but it has been over a week since I wrote something. By the way “Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast!

Bid for Freedom, as suggested sounds like Wallace. Big Picture, not that highly inaccurate Braveheart surely? Is there a pic of the Battle of Stirling Bridge anywhere or Battle of Falkirk.... result won1 , lost 1...

You might want to have a look at Stirling Bridge. The clue says make a bid for freedom - William Wallace talked of freedom. It then says look at the whole picture and what is missing - what is missing from Braveheart? - A bridge at the Battle of Stirling Bridge. Just a thought.

ok donna - i've been away a while so i'm a bit lost on the handbook thing can you sum up what we've to do? i do think you're talking nonsense but on the other hand i badly want to believe in heaven and how can you explain that scientifically? you'd have to believe that it is possible to be outside of time. maybe other dimensions aren't totally out of the question for me. but mainly i agree with jen this is sounding bonkers. that said science fiction is always loosely based on science fact - do you know any scientists you could talk to? Also - can you tell us what you've been asked to do? Sophxxps i don't think donna's body language looked like she was ill - she looked like she was pretty weirded out is all?

Seriously! what the ... is an infinite universe?Atoms resonating? Surely if you are Penny i.e your atoms buzz off and become Penny then when you meet up all the atoms are naturally drawn back together and you're actually talking to yourself, Sophie's right you need to speak to a mental health practitioner fast and at the very least it must be time to change your scriptwriter sweetie.Im finding it really hard to believe that this is for grownups!

whaaaaaatt???!!! our personal atoms are sometimes missing? don't think we covered this in higher chemistry - donna i'm not sure scientists really think that do they? wouldn't they have said something before now? you're a lovely girl and you deserve to have some answers - but real one's. get penny to meet a shrink with you - if she's telling the truth she has nothing to fear. and if she is winding you up you will be able to get some closure. have you read 'the time travellers wife? ' take care donna, i'm pretty worried about you now.

Is there any chance that the CCTV footage is a fake put up by Donna just to keep her centre stage? Is anybody else out there thinking that this whole search for a sister routine is one big fat lie strung together to launch an acting career for a certain young dancer?

I've pulled some CCTV footage from a security camera watching the Waverley paddle steamer. Don't ask how. I think you should put it up on your site asap. Penny (maybe?)is seen arriving at 2.48pm with a man. Could that be the old guy that started this whole thing? Wil's sketch looks like a match to me. I've tried to move in on the picture a bit. Anyhow, the man leaves after a short while. The CCTV footage is edited to show some close ups and there are a couple of edit jumps as Penny waits to take us to 3.02 when Donna arrives. The meeting between Donna and Penny is captured. What's strange is that there is some kind of technical interference to the picture as the girls meet. The meeting is very brief and Donna moves away from Penny without any embrace taking place. Penny follows after Donna.i think I've fallen for you Donna so please come back safe - from the heart!

Been looking at Ossian and Napoleon for weeks now and I've come across a lot of web sites. Don't like the brotherhood of Ossian that has links to a society in Canada and America in the 1800’s that spoke regarding freedom of Ireland that some people think the IRA came from. L left that one. The FOF Hand Book is THE STORY OF OSSIAN - FIND IT IN GOOGLE BOOK SEARCH this is the only thing you find regarding Napoleon and Ossian. He even got a play written regarding Ossian. As for Napoleon’s twin - can not find anything regarding twin brother but I have found a connection to Napoleon’s brothers and the Masons. It is believed that Napoleon’s brother started a Masonic chapter and that Napoleon himself joined it. This has been going through a lot of web sites. Start of by typing in Ossian and Napoleon and see were it can lead us.

Thanks for the update Sandra. I'm still worried though. I've made contact with the hypnotist Noreen but all she would tell me is that she gave Donna an edited tape of the session. She wouldn't tell me any details of the session as they are confidential. Neil and Simone are going to go to Donna's place and see what they can find - Simone has keys. Keep in touch and keep looking for clues about the Handbook.

Me again!! I've sent a text to Donna and got a reply of, " Been talking for hours with Penny and forgot I had the mobile. Let Richard know Im safe. Thanks for thinking of me but I have to switch off now. Find the Handbook check the tapes from Noreen. D"How are we to find the Handbook? How do we get the tapes from Noreen?? Noreen if your reading this can you please post the videos of Donna's hypnosis. Beattie if you have a FOF Handbook or know where we can find one please get in touch. Otherwise I'm at a loss. Just dunno how to find out what we need to know to help Donna, even although her text says she's been talking for hours with Penny, I'm just not sure. What if it's not Donna who's sent the text? I did send another one asking this but so far nothing.Am going to look AGAIN at the clues to see if anything jumps out.

Calum Colvin Just read about this guy maybe able to help you Calum is an artist who has studied Ossian. I’ve been reading reviews on him and his work seems to be on the same line as you check him out Donna plus he got a grant from the Scottish Arts Council did Beattie not have something to do with that?

Donna
David you raise a good point. Here's my take on it. Penny is trying to test me - she is trying to prepare or teach/show me something. David Clarke thinks it might be something to do with historical fakes. So maybe Penny is working for the FOF? I don't know if she's doing this of her own free will or if she's being forced to work for them. What I don't like about the FOF is that they seem to think that I'm part of their agenda. What their agenda is I'm not sure but they appear to be watching over me until it's completed - "until the two become one". Beattie, to start with at least, thinks I'm in danger and he wants me to stop looking for Penny. He says that I should stay on my 'line' and not chase after Penny. He goes to great effort to get some research papers to us about Napoleon having a twin and a whole lot of weird stuff about the aims of the FOF. From my speed read of his research all I remember is stuff about how the Ossian poem written by James Macpherson inspired Napoleon in his attempt to dominate the world. And that Napoloen had a twin! Is any of that true? Claire is right - there was mention of a FOF handbook that Beattie had found. Then Beattie claimed it was all a joke! But what if it wasn't a joke and that the FOF had got to him and made him say that? Or maybe Claire is right and something very strange is going on - the UFO sightings could be tied in and it is odd that there is so much UFO activity being reported in the news just now. Right now we have very little to go on. I've had nothing from Penny or the FOF. Claire is still in hiding but at least she's in contact with me now. So how do we play this? I've been in touch with Beattie but heard nothing from him. I'm going to try and open up my memory with some hypnosis this week. Sandra noticed on the 11th December film from joker Beattie that the picture on the back wall of his room and to his left had gone. Could that be significant? Was the warning Beattie trying to tell us something? I can only hope that Penny will get in touch soon. And Richard if Penny did want me to contact her I think I would go regardless of the danger. I just want it too much and I need to understand why she's been playing with me like this.

If it turns out that Penny is your doppleganger, Donna, it might be worth getting one of your friends to meet her if the chance arises. My mother has a doppleganger who lives in the same area as her, she knows people who've seen the doppleganger (myself included) but whenever the chance for pointing out the doppleganger to my mum arises, the doppleganger seems to disappear.

Thank you David. You're right. It is all starting to make some kind of horrible insane sense to me. I don't dare tell you what I'm starting to think! I sound like Beattie don't I? I'm still trying to contact Claire as I'm now desperate to talk with her. What I've found out is that Salmon were considered sacred by the ancients for a number of reasons. Because their pink flesh was the same colour as human skin stories grew of salmon to human transformation! Salmon were also considered to be creatures of two worlds because they can survive in both salt and fresh water. This all goes to explain why they became so sacred and revered. Tony you are an inspiration! Hey! Catch up Wise Owel! Haha

James Macpherson and Ossian - it was a hoax. James Macpherson was supposed to have made it all up. At the time a lot of well known writers including Samuel Johnson denounced the Ossian poems as forgeries and campaigned vigorously against Macpherson. He went so far as to include several derogatory references to Ossian in a Journey to the Western Islands of Scotland 1775. Where now?

This is huge. All the pieces are there. It is staring us in the face had a look at Ossian and James Macpherson. Don’t know why people are scared but things seem to be coming together - it is going to fall into place. But we need a bit more looking into Ossian and what James MacPherson translated from the works of Ossian some things are coming together. The Salmon for a start I was right The Salmon of Knowledge comes from Ossian. Ossian is Irish Celtic stories studied by James MacPherson and translated from Gaelic. What did we have to do at the start? Translate some Gaelic! There is a Irish Connection with the Stone of Destiny. It came from Ireland with an Irish King who took over part of Scotland. Using Goggle book search gets you the Ossian regarding Napoleon - he was a fan of the book.We need to know what else Clair said. I picked up Ossian but what did she say FOF means? This is the next stage for me. We are nearly there.

Donna this is all about history and knowledge I myself have learned a lot this past couple of weeks about Scottish history the thing is about history and what we are looking at is do we know what is the truth and what is story - fact or fiction I believe what Claire says is true and will start looking into this could you please put up key words of what Claire and Beattie said. I believe we are close. By the way - ‘Penny’ how do we know that is the girls name? Maybe she needs our help to find Penny? Maybe that is the lady she always draws? I think the clues book is knowledge the book has more answers

Hi Sophie, Tony, Sandra and David! Happy New Year to you. Okay you guys looks like the salmon stone is a fake. So what do you think is going on here? What is Penny trying to tell me? I'm desperate to talk with Claire about Beattie's papers. I'm starting to think that she's on to something that I've missed. What do you think? If any of you have the time to back track through Beattie's and Claire's films I'd be grateful for your opinion. Fakes? Why would Penny be trying to get me to think about fakes? As you can tell David Clarke had quite an impact on me yesterday. He's made me step back a bit - made me want to analyse things a bit more. So that's what I'm asking you to do. I think we've got enough pieces of the jigsaw and should be able to put some possible theories together.

Donna are trying to liberate a stone just like the Stone of Destiny was liberated??Maybe you should go out the where the original Craw Stane is another clue may be waiting there. Also noticed other images on mash up video the Person on horse is that an inverted image from the Hilton of Cadboll Stone? (remains of the original are in the Museum of ScotlandStruggling with this clue so much can't find anything about what the pictish symbol of a salmon means. Found out Pictish stones are monumental stelae (erected at graves/monuments?) decorations on them usually relate to person they are for. Are we looking for someone called Salmon?

Thanks Mike and happy New Year to you. And hello Iain! Thanks so much for introducing yourself. What a great heritage to have as part of your name, you must be very proud. Your grandfather must have been so cool. From what I've read and the little I know he must have had nerves of steel to be able to handle the pressure. Do you remember him well? I'm sure we would all love to hear more about him. Do you know where the real stone is? I bet it's not in Edinburgh anyway! Please get in touch again soon. All the best and have a happy New Year.

Thanks to all of you for working so hard at this. All I have to do now is con someone into taking me up there. It will have to be after Christmas as I've two shows to do tomorrow and I've promised to go to Mum and Dad's for Christmas. I've had an odd message from Claire - I'm not quite sure what she's getting at but the attack has really shaken her up. I've tried to call her but I can't get through to her. What do you make of it? She can't really believe that aliens have got to Beattie and zapped him in some strange way!!!! By the way this comment board won't be checked until the 27th/28th December but please keep posting and also send your comments by email. I can access the email from home and keep in touch with your thoughts from there. All the best and have a great Christmas. Sandra - I'm off to google Robert Mills right now. keep the ideas flowing. I'll also see if I can find pictures of the Craw stone and these stones at the carpark - thanks Tony nice to have you back. Donna xxx

Watching the video again, I noticed a second set of numbers (57.32674 -2.83297). These point at the end of the road the first found set are near. Looking at the Ordinance Survey maps, there are symbol stones at (or near) the end of this road. Doing some internet jiggery-pokery (fine, I looked at wikipedia and surfed out from there), the symbol stones are Pictish, there are three of them at the end of the road, and two more in the village square. Combining this with the symbols and whatnot glimpsed in the video, I reckon these stones are what you're after.Question is, what's at the stones, and how do the stones link to Donna and Penny?
Tue Dec 23 00:05:17 2008
Sandra
I think the voice is saying either, Robert Mills, Drop it in or possible rub it in. Could the latter one mean you need to take a rubbing from one of the carvings? Also in the video I got two sets of numbers (57.32674 -2.83297) and (7.32719 -2.83331). They both still lead to the same place Rhynie!!
Mon Dec 22 21:01:30 2008

just come back into the search. The second image on the other clues board is definitely Maclean's cross on Iona.I have just checked with the official guide to Iona. The first cross may be the replicaSt John's cross but I'm not convinced. The original St John's is in the museum, with bits missing. The figures do not agree either with lat/long for Iona nor OS map references. If its really a clue to Rhynie, its a shame that I got rid of my Grampian touring guides a few weeks back. The famous Craw stone lies in a field and another small collection is under cover in a carpark at the end of a lane out of Rhynie. Some guides say there are stones on the green- there aren't. I havent checked but the reference numbers could be Longitude/Latitude in decimals, with longitude quoted first which is strange. What connection there might be between Maclean and Rhynie, I haven't a clue. Can someone explain to me where these cross picture came from- are they genuine clues? Query... is Donna still in this search or is it just us? May not be back until after Xmas. Poor homeless, lost Penny... Donna , have you tried Shelter?
Mon Dec 22 17:37:21 2008
Reply from Donna
Okay lets start picking over Rhynie and see what we can find. I've marked up the lat and long on the map page. We have to work out where it is they want us to go. Is it to the standing stones? Do any of you know where they are? Have we missed anything in the mashup video? What is that repeated phrase? I thought it was "rub it in" but now I'm thinking it's either Robert Inn or Rabbit Inn? David I don't think it's "Robert Myth" - I can't hear that! What do the rest of you think?
Mon Dec 22 16:56:42 2008
Richard
Mike, I've already tried the numbers as lat/long. If you put the numbers (+57.32719 -2.83331) into maps.google.com, they point to a spot near the end of a dead-end road coming out of Rhynie, Scotland.
Sun Dec 21 23:43:57 2008
Mike
Hi, the images are definitly of several pictish symbol stones...one from Bullion - Dundee, another - Hilton of Cadboll and the one that stood out for me....The salmon...pictish stone at Glamis. As Rhynie is known for these type of Symbol Stones...its got my vote.
Sun Dec 21 15:42:51 2008
Mike
Hi,thought I was hearing Robert's Inn. Going off at a tangent with RLS and Iona. I agree with Richard. The numbers are probably Latitude and Longitude...and point to Rhynie...known for pictish symbol stones.

Well what have we got on that memory stick The voice is it saying Robert Myth is it a myth about The Bruce himself well putting it into the search engine comes up with Robert the Bruce and the Knight Templers and BanockburnDid they help him or not then we hve the picturers is this Roslin Chaple in Edinburgh again connected to the Knight Templers Also remember the knight templers were suppose to protect the Holy Grail Tie in with Stone of Denstiny both objects were Holy Items is there a connection

Hi Donna...another step closer to solving the mystery. Hope you're holding up ok.A sum that results in 54.4939...could this be a 6 figure map ref 544939....what map?A flash of what could be a celtic cross....and "Robert's Inn".The only celtic crosses that ever made an impression on me were when I once visited Iona....St John's cross...AND MacLean's Cross.Robert's Inn??? - could this be tied into David's reference to Robert Louis Stevenson.Googled Iona, celtic cross and Stevenson....and found that the Stone of Destiny started its Life on IONA as the "Black Stone of Destiny"....and get this; Mr Stevenson stayed at the "Argyle" inn once, on IONA....he didn't like the chicken much.

The numbers that appear on the video 5pm Sat 20/12/08 (+57.32719 -2.83331), when put into google maps, leads to the end of a road leading out of Rhynie.

Hi Donna....had a thought...the figure's a Green Lady. Looked up Green Lady on the net and the Stone of Destiny..."The Green Lady" is a well known spirit or Ghost that's known to protect homes and haunt castles.Dunstaffnage Castle near Oban...has it's own Green Lady, sometimes known as a Glaistaig. Its believed that the Kings of Dalriada originally kept the Stone of Destiny there.

Thanks Tony I think it's a good idea to keep working the Stone of Destiny angle but from what I now know this stone is hard to pin down! It's been grabbed; hidden and switched so often that I'm not sure anyone knows where it is right now. What makes you think the password for the memory stick is tied to the map? Isn't it more likely that the list of objects from Dairy Home Management book holds the key? I've got to get past the screen with the peg lady!

if the map has Rollo at the bottom(south) , then the road goes SE-ish. Have been thinking about a ten letter result. Can think of two tenletter placenames: Forfar Gaol, where the stone was recovered to and Linlithgow, which is eastwards of Bonnybridge and has a big square in the middle ( like the book). You say you cant get into the memory stick, but how did you get the list of items, the little lady silhouette and the dashes, then? Sorry but since I cant read all your videos , I dont know what you can or cant do.

Think that Tony has something!! Is it possible that the order the list is in is directions? ie - west, south, north east, north, then east. Or have we to find the missing items or relate those missing items to a place conected to the stone? Steam iron - iron foundry? The first aid pic that also has a pair of running shoes has a third item in it which I think is an oil for a sports injury? Go to a Hospital??

My print out wasnt very sharp, so I couldnt identify everything on the cover... other items included (topleft) roast joint,topmiddle.. cant identify, paint tin & brush(t right) Middle rowL basket of flowers (geraniums?), middle demijohn , mirror and two ? bobble things. Mid right ??Bottom L Ist aid and ? wine bottle, middle ?scrolls, bottom rt ??All your items were in all the squares except middle.. so is that the next clue (someone tell me what the bobble things are)?If Arbroath ( Rollo engineering-mended stone- next destination) could clue be the scrolls= Declaration of Arbroath?Thats enough brain cells used for one day.

there is a Seabegs Roman fortlet, west of Bonnybridge on the Antonine Wall.you can get to it via the canal towpath ( car parking Bonnybridge Community Centre). There is an underpass known as the Pend. The Wall crosses the B816 near Antonine Primary School, where the medieval Seabegs Motte sits on a mound to north of ditch. (copied from Antonine Wall guide). Could get a decent map on screen so dont know if that's relevant.

Hi Just to let you know that Simone and I went to Bonnybridge today to check out the Radical Pend. Last night David sent me a link for a photograph of a tunnel in Bonnybridge called the Radical Pend. Grid Ref: NS824801. As soon as we got there I knew it was the place from my dream. I've just posted a film about the trip. We found a pc memory stick but we are having trouble accessing it. All we get is what looks like a shoping list! Will update you more about that tomorrow. Got to go shine on stage ...OHHHH! Simone asked a local about Rollo when we were in Bonnybridge. Get this the Rollo factory was used to hide the stone of destiny when it was stolen in the early 1950's. John Rollo kept it hidden while Police were searching for it! Hi Bambi I don't think we should waste any more time on Mr. Beattie - he clearly can't be trusted. He can crawl into his bottle and laughs himself to death for all I care!

At Last something to work on. Right Down to Buisness - Reading what people have been saying Bonnybridge seems to tie in to the clues. Why dont know yet .Local Lad so it gets my vote but here is some evidence: 1. Aliens - from the start have been saying that Bonnybridge is Famouse for them. 2 Rollo Engerneering is in Bonnybridge. 3 History related we have The Roman Fort and Antionnes Wall. 4 We have the Radical Pend. Will send information by email and a picture. This even links to Napoleon and the Carron Works it was because of the carron works and a cannon they made which helped Nelson beat Napoleon. Just a little bit of local history. We also see Stonewood in the map. Everyone use Windows maps you get a better Ariel view the map looks close at Bonnybridge but still not 100% sure.

Got to be quick. Tony, I couldn't get Stirling Bridge to match up with my map. I can't find any mention of access to underground passages or sewers at Blackfriars in Perth. So we seem to be back in Bonnybridge. It fits with UFO - flying saucer sweets and nasty alien head! There is the canal which could be the straight bit of water on my map? Thanks Tony for the definitions of Pend - I like the sound of vaulted passageway that's what it seems like in my dream. More tunnel than cave. Mike where is Rollo Engineering? Is it near the canal? What do they make there? Does the Rollo name of the factory come from a family in the Bonnybridge area? And if so are they related back to some of the ancient Rollo's that AngelA and Tony have been digging up? What about the 'order' from the FOF to follow the stone of destiny? Is the stone linked to a Rollo or to Bonnybridge in someway? Just had another thought -has anyone considered that Rollo could be R0110. Does that number mean anything? Got to go the half is being called. Theatre lovey term!

Found this on Wikipedia.Rollo : "The name first appears on record in a charter of around 1141 granted by Robert de Brus. Black’s Surnames of Scotland lists numerous variants for the spelling of this name, and one Robert Rolloche obtained from King David II of Scotland lands near Perth in 1369.The fortunes of the chiefly family were established in February 1380, when John Rollok, secretary to David, Earl Palatine of Strathearn and brother of King Robert II of Scotland, received a charter from the king of the lands of Duncrub. His son, Duncan Rollo of Duncrub, was Auditor of State Accounts until his death in 1419."Traces of Rollo clan oringins near Perth (crop circle land also !), also a mention of Duncrub.

So Mr. Beattie was having us all on, "flux" indeed, and his ad was in on Monday not Friday...double farce ! And the ad doesn't show up on the P&J search capability even when you put in "Donna Dunbar".Can't wait to hear what is in the envelope...will check back later today. The map ! "Pend", it fits. It's a sewer or drainlike passageway (thanks to Tony, again!). You heard water running in your dream of a "cave-like" place. The "X" is over the river, which is running over the "pend".If we find the location. Rollo seems to be the key.Hey, Tony also said to hold the map up to a mirror on 3rd of December ...we're a bit slow on the uptake aren't we ;-)

Hi Donna, my mistake, Bonnybridge is on the Forth and Clyde Canal...and not far from the Union Canal at Falkirk. Could the map relate to an area around there???
Fri Dec 12 03:53:53 2008
Mike
Hi Donna, wonder if this will help. Bonnybridge is known for it's many UFO sightings...and...Rollo Engineering is based there. The Union Canal is not far away. Could the "Pend", given one of Tony's definitions as an arch/covered passage way be a bridge or Tunnel....say the "Laughin & Greetin" Bridge, the Roughcastle Tunnel or the Falkirk Tunnel??
Fri Dec 12 03:35:36 2008

last thought tonight before I have to do more Christmas Cards: Rollo, Davidson ,McFarlane are a firm of solicitors with offices in Cupar, St Andrews and GlenRothes , according to Google.Rollo and Pend are connected with St Andrews , so perhaps you should be looking at the castle.Didn't the Stone go there also?
Thu Dec 11 20:31:14 2008
tony
just looked at the map. You are asking about a 'pend'. Historic Scotland's Dictionary gives four meanings: 1. an archway/covered passage way or 2. vaulted passageway in sewer or drain 3. a birdsmouth rebate in stone usually in steps and 4.a street drain. James1 was murdered in a sewer/drain. Why are you asking this question: I havent seen mention of a pend in any messages or videos.

More download problems. I tried to view your trip to Stirling but only the first ten seconds run, and they are disjointed. There appeared to be a message set up before the video, but it doesnt stay on the screen long enough... it disappears behind the video. So please, what was your message from Stirling.Could you put these transcripts up on the message board, simultaneously with any relevant photo clues ? Only one bit did I get: Holy Rood church...now where have I heard Holyrood before? PS You are looking much happier now.

Tony that's fantastic. That could be it. I'm going to check out the Stirling map now. The only thing is that the water seems to run over the bridge in my map. maybe just a mistake - I was asleep after all. Hey twins and iain thanks so much for your honest thoughts about living with your twins and triplets. I meant to ask are any of you identical? Maybe you told me that already. I'll check back.

I reckon your scribblings during the night indicate an arrow. Like most maps the arrow always points NOrth. THis allows you to orientate your map. The river indicated could be the river near stirling which flows out to the Firth of Forth. As Stirling forms a trianlge in UFO ville it might fit. Added to that, on maps battlefields normally are marked with crosses and that the battle of Stirling took place near the bridge ie a cross on the river maybe everything points to Stirling but where????Sorry for the rambling Good Luck

Tony I'm so sorry that you're still having problems. Have you been able to read the video descriptions we're putting up? I've no idea what's going on with the Wonderboard. We're trying to get permission from BBC bosses to make all our videos up loadable. Will keep you in touch with that. The Blackfriars' monastery was the scene of the murder of James I by Walter, earl of Atholl, in 1437. But it's nothing more than an archaeological site now Tony. Florence I've given you four stars! Hadn't heard from you for ages and thought you had left us - thanks so much for the scans of the adverts. Welcome back! Hi Bambi great to hear from you. Will tell all soon!

Hello Donna. I've sent you an email with a scan from yesterday's Press and Journal. I'm sure this is what you're waiting for. But, as ever, it doesn't look that straight forward - bit like your hair! Hahaha. I've not checked today's paper but it's most likely in today as well. Best of luck.

Thank you for the video post. Most of the time we get angry at the same things and also sometimes feel the same. So we know what you mean. We have dreamed a few of the same dreams, which was kinda freaky but the sharing a life thing somtimes we feel to much like we are taking up each others space especalliy in school. About the dna thing we have never heard of it but they used to think that twins had the same dna though they are about 80% the same the other 20% is what makes us unigue. Also we have had dreams about sort of victorian time being homless.

Yep! have also spent the last 2 hrs searching under "personal" , "Bryan Beattie", "Trust me", etc. and finally resorted to scanning pages of "puppy" and "sofa" ads on the P&J just in case an ad was squeezed in there... nada, nichts, nothing ;-(Don't feel like I've earned a star, but thanks anyway. 1380 Rollo received charter from Robert II to Duncrub, Dunning in Perthshire. I am fairly familiar with Dunning but the map doesnt fit. False lead? Dates and Robert connection seem suitable. Then there is current wizz Marcus di Rollo, Scottish rugby player.. which could lead us to Murrayfield?I dont know who he plays for .. could map fit his home town?If I knew what B Beattie said in his last video, then I'd try the Dairy Book as a clue.
Fri Dec 5 17:07:00 2008

First I cant get videos, so dont know what B Beattie etc has had to say, now the wonderboard wont update... it keeps reverting to an earlier date. As if the puzzle wasnt enough. If Rollo and sherbert flying saucers are we looking for a sweetie shop? Or is that Rolo? Rollo was ancestor of William the Conqueror , who clobbered Malcolm once or twice, but that's putting the clock back before the Bruce.Bruc'e ancestors were Normans I think , so are we looking for an early Norman settlement.

(unfortunately we didn't get the p and j yesterday so i couldn't do it. soz) this just keeps getting more confusing!!!!! :( on to a different matter. i think that penny is in safe hands because she seemed quite happy in the polaroids and she could also mabye WANT to take you on a quest like this. im sure you'll get there in the end!!!

AngelA and everyone! Yes yes yes! That has to be it. AngelA - you is clever! Let's keep an eye on the P and J tomorrow and see if anything turns up - as Beattie says "all of you can see that" - because it's available online. It all fits! David I had a good look through the book but couldn't find anything obvious. Will get back to you if I spot something but I think we should go with AngelA's idea just now. Sophie maybe it's the FOF that are after him. Maybe they are protecting me and Penny from him? Tony I agree with you I see Rollo rather than Room. It's an odd name - can we find out more about this Norman? Did he have any connection to Scone and the stone? Or is Rollo a place name that would help us work out where the map (if it is a map?) is from. Some breaking news from my short lived theatrical career - the college phoned this afternoon and asked if I would get back into panto rehearsals. A few of the girls are off ill and they need me. So I've said yes. The show must go on. Neil and Simone are going to keep an eye on things here. xxx Donna.

...so looking at the rest of Bryan's message, there is a "Family Announcements" section on the P&J Newspaper website. Description of Kingcausie Estate from the P&J article on front page 4th December "If the road goes ahead as planned, the carriageways would cut through the area of trees next to the house and the neighbouring Cleanhill Woods. The sound of rushing water was heard by the group as they headed for the next stop – a craggy gorge known as Corbie Lynne and fabled to be home to a kelpie guarding a pot of gold. It would not be directly affected by the bypass but the road would run between the gorge and the main house." ...I feel way off the track and on slippery ground ! Anyone think any of this is relevant?

Remapping my thoughts: perhaps it isnt Holyrood, but the letters might be Rollo or Room( if you turn the arrow shape on its side). There was a significant Norman called Rollo and no doubt others but cant think of a connection. Guys, I just want to say thanks again for all your support and ideas so far. It might sound a bit cheesy but I really do not know what I would do without you all!! :) Ok back to the map. Andrew/David/Tony, this map could be anywhere!!! Will put flags on our clue map to mark the locations you have suggested so far. Tony, your suggestion of taking a backwards view of the map by using a mirror is really interesting indeed!!! I have just used my compact mirror and I am seeing PEND and the word ROLLO! Also can you see an arrow after ROLLO? Hmm as for the X - I am not sure about the clue being in the middle of a river either. For a start, whoever put it there might not have made it out alive! Although I remember hearing running water in my dream and it was really dark as though I was in a tunnel. Soooo X (assuming the clue is there) must be somewhere near water. It must be, why else would my dream be so vivid? It was during that dream that I drew this map thingy too. We need to think about what I discovered in Scone as well – the flying saucers, the weird alien dude. They must be linked to this map in some way! Where does it take us? Tony, I will try to get this transcript sorted tomorrow too! Oh and David, I like your thoughts about treasure, hehe would be great if I found bags of gold! I agree about the trees helping us too. Remember, send in anything you think could be useful, i.e. links to maps, your own ideas on video! Pics, drawings etc - anything that can help!

Donna..Taking a backwards view of your map ( hold it up in front of a mirror) and trace the map.. i can read 'Peny' ( spelling!) and 'Roo(d)' so I guess I was right .Penny's next clue is in Edinburgh. I cant match your map to anywhere I know in E but I am guessing somewhere down the Royal Mile near Palace? Not convinced the shaded area is a river- not many/any around Holyrood. It doesnt fit Water of Leith and why does a road appear to go under this hatched area? If 'X' marks the spot, it's not likely to be in the middel of a river, is it?Still cant get any videos downloaded. is there any way I can get a transcript? You asked could I email a video mesage using a webcam or mobile... no, you must be joking - no such toys. Can build a computer, though.

I'm just up and down just now and me and panto rehearsals weren't really working out - I can't blame the college. Simone still wants me to get some pills from the doc but I don't want that. I just don't feel like doing any video blogs at the mo'. Will try and get back into the groove soon. Hey why don't you send us a video message!? That goes for all of you. Use a mobile or web cam and email me your words of wisdom. If I can I'll transcode them into flash video format and put them up on the site. I've discovered that Beattie worked as a cultural advisor to the Scottish government a few years back and wrote a regularly newspaper column. Maybe he's more credible than I thought. I wish he'd just tell us what's biting him! Also have you all checked out my drawing from the other night? It's in the clues photo gallery. Let me know what do you make of it? Hey Tony if there are spiders in it then you can forget it! I hate them. David's right though there are a number of places that claim to be THE cave. Anyhow Neil Oliver says the whole Bruce spider thing was a myth. David please check out the drawing I did in my sleep - its in the clues photo gallery image 20. We think it looks like a map. Do you recognise it as a map of Dumfermline Abbey? Dear Sophie thanks for the medical lesson -you have quite a potty mouth for someone with such great taste in shoes! Hi Donna dont worry about the sleep walking you are under a lot of stress at the moment try to relax Try Meditating .Any way back to the clues Bettie is giving us nothing but he has the answer regarding the Alians that I am sure .The Book still has some thing to do with it .As for your dream this can lead us anywhere Scotland has hundreds of caves and if this is to do with bruce then there is about 3/4 that claim to be the cave. One tie in to the Bruce and your Dream about the cave is Dunfermline.Robert the Bruce is Buried in the Abby and we also have Saint Margaret`s Cave in Dunfermline the only problem is its closed this time of year .Donna Relax try Medition you have the answers just dont know were yet

Also spotted that there were two "stones of destiny" and resulting confusion. Love the "two halves become one" theme. Fits your story well ;-)I'm also with Tony on the "spider man" theme...this must be about Bruce..and his cave (your dream). The other cave was Constantine the 2nd lived out the remainder of his life after retiring in a cave - location?I'm following up on the Bell on the tree at Scone Palace. It appears to have been rung to mark coronations, the passing of Acts of Parliament,i.e. major events. Hi Sandra - Sharp of you to notice the picture but I can't be certain that it's Penny. What do the rest of you think? Thanks for the update on the stone - it's a really complicated story. The stone seems to have its name changed all the time. I'll check into the Dunsinane link - I'm sure I came across that myself the other day. Something to do with a discovery of an underground room or cellar. You say the stone broke into two pieces in the 1950 theft. So who fixed it? Anybody know? - "the two became one" (sorry that's very FOF of me) but if the stone of destiny was also split in two by Bruce with one bit becoming the Blarney stone and the other bit remaining with him then maybe the FOF are trying to make the two stones become one again. I'm starting to think the stone might have some kind of "power". Hear me out! - I've read that it was used as a pillow by Jacob at a place called Bethel and he had this dream about God while his head was on it. - Genesis 28:10-15. He blessed the stone with oil and set it up as a temple stone. I'm going nuts arn't I? I'm sorry Sandra I've no idea who my mother was and I have nothing that would help me trace back to her. The fire happened while we were in the school - I think it was workmen that caused it by leaving equipment on. Nobody was hurt. Hi Tony thanks for the email - I'll try and get to the bottom of the video problem for you on Monday. I think your Tennants idea is as good an idea as anyone has had but I have this really strong feeling that the Dairy book was once my blood mother's.

ME AGAIN!!!!One story said the Stone came from Ireland originaly so maybe you don't need to go to Tara.Another story says that Bruce gave part of the stone to Cormic McCarty, King of Munster and that became the Blarney Stone. - Off to Cork?1296 Stone of Scone is stolen by Edward I and ended up in Wesminster Abbey. Some believe that the stone never actually made it to Westminster and that it was either hiden in the River Tay or buried on Dunsinane Hill. Now this is where I'm wandering off the track a bit I think. Dunsinane Hill is mentioned in Shakespeare's Macbeth. Now don't tell my English teacher but I can't really remember a lot of it but did he not have a moment of madness thinking about sights in the sky or am I thinking of Hamlet (or just imagining it all?).Christmas day 1950 saw a Stone being recovered from Westminster by Ian Hamilton, Gavin Vernon, Kay Matheson and Alan Stuart. This stone was broke into 2 pieces and eventuallt made its way to Scotland. Once mended was left in the care of the Church of Scotland at Arbroath Abbey in 1951. It then made it's way back to Westminster and again rumours surfaced stating that this was not the real stone. - Arbroath will be lovely this time of year Donna! Currently the Stone resides in Edinburgh Castle awaiting its next trip south whenever the next coronation may be.

The new warning from Beattie all sounds a bit Torchwood. It could tie in with how history is really the interpretation of events by stories passed down, like Blind Harry or re-written by the winners. So there are many Wallaces, the freedom fighter, the guardian, the terrorist. There are many Bruces, the King, the Patriot, the murderer, the opportunist, the hero. So Beattie could be suggesting that there are many Donnas, the dancer, the tv runner, the lost penny? Who Penny is depends on who is left to tell the story and the evidence recovered. The emphasis of the Stone of Destiny could be leading you to the opposite view. Destiny = Fate so your life is mapped out not subject to change or interpretation. The FOF could be leading you away from multiple life stories to secure your own fixed biography & reality.Could the clues be pointing toward s the advice - don't allow others to take your destiny as Edward snatched away the Stone?

Tennant Brewery- where is/was it ? There was one on the site of the Parliament building , so going across FOF (Firth of Forth) brings us to Edinburgh. This is as plausible as anything else suggested to date. Actually, I'm wondering why I am bothered by Penny's fate. Why doesnt she just phone ? PS Brian Beattie was a Highland Councillor, but is no longer.

Hi Everyone, Donna isn't feeling well today and is in her bed. I just found out - but she says she hopes to be back with us tomorrow. I've decided to put up a compilation video of the last few weeks for new friends joining the site. We've noticed quite a few new names on the comments board (abbie, caramac, cat - don't forget you can register as a friend as well. Sussanne-Ruth thanks for registering. Hi David - Donna told me to give you another star for the great ideas you're pushing her way. Do you know why the bell is in the tree? We've heard nothing more from this Beattie guy and we realy don't know what Penny or the FOF are expecting us to do next. We had an instruction from the FOF on the comments board on Tuesday so Donna has started researching into the Lia-fail/Stone of Destiny. She's tryng to follow its movements through history. Maybe you guys could help with that? I've got another map set up and ready to go onto the site. Our plan is to try and plot the stone and pull together the different stories about it. Ok enough from me - I'm sure Donna will be feeling better tomorrow she just needs to get a decent nights sleep.

Toby J. mentioned that the alien head reminded him of two things, and that one is the cast of Robert the Bruce's head..having watched the last episode of BBC's Scotland's History the head of Bruce in his facial armour, mouth gaping, wide eyed does look very like our wee alien! Or is it the other way around ?FOF is reminding us of the stone of destiny...we need the next clue Penny (or FOF) if you are watching !

Donna - I've commandeered a BBC Alba colleague here, and the message from FOF means 'follow the Stone of Destiny' (apparently Lia-fail is an old name for the Stone). I have no idea how this fits with the aliens though, or what FOF means... Flying over Falkirk?

So another message from the FOF! - lean an Lia-fail - Can anyone get a translation to me of it. Hi David thanks for your ideas. Bonnybridge keeps coming up on the board as having big links to UFOs but all that activity seems to have been some time ago. Does anyone know when the most recent sighting was? Is there an expert I should be hearing from? So far there's nothing more from Brian Beattie . Hi Bambi thanks for your thoughts. I feel better this evening - just hope I can get a decent sleep tonight. Hey Sussanna-Ruth don't you make me laugh. Yeah the logo does have that "spend a penny" look about it! The idea came from the sign Penny is holding in the first batch of polaroids - see the photographs clue gallery. Hey why don't you and you twin register for Lost Penny and see if we can become friends. Sussanna-Ruth do you think it's possible for twins to be connected in thought and feeling. sort of ESP. Have you or your twin had any experience of that? If you would prefer not to use the board let me know what you've experienced by email. Well done with the poetry by the way - maybe you could write a poem about being a twin! xxx Donna

Hi AngelA I'm not sure about him. Why does everyone have to be so mysterious? If he knows Penny or if he thinks he knows what's going on why doesn't he say just tell me?! I'm getting really stressed with all this and I don't think it helps when people just drop into my life and expect me to back of something so important to me. I can't find any Councillor in the highlands called Brian Beattie/Beatty. I did find a Brian Beattie linked to UFO site - http://home.online.no/~arthujul/ufovideos.htm - but I don't know if it's the same guy. Hi Bambi, sorry about not getting back to you. Hector was a historian now long dead. Read Angela's post on the board from Mon Nov 17 21:38:48 2008. Hi Sandra, I might well smash the thing. It's got a hole in the top but nothing in it. I have had a look on the Internet about UFO sightings in the Firth of Forth which might stand for FOF and this is what I found: UFO sightings over Forth no dream for bar boss Derek. Another mysterious flying object has been spotted in the night skies over Edinburgh. The blazing circle of light - with a strange spiral effect in the middle - was captured hovering above the river Forth by a video camera. It emerged just days after another amateur photographer spotted bizarre images in pictures he took from exactly the same spot at Calton Hill. And today UFO experts said they believe the latest incident is a classic UFO sighting - and revealed that Edinburgh and Fife skies have become a hotspot for mysterious sightings. In the latest incident, bar manager Derek Davies was videoing the night skies over the Firth of Forth with his camcorder when the static circles of light caught his eye. ”I couldn’t believe it when I focused on this large bright light in the sky over the river. It hovered there for a few seconds and suddenly disappeared”, said Derek, 26. “I waited until a plane came over and then filmed that. It was obviously a plane, the other light wasn’t....I would be happy if someone told me it was just a helicopter, but it just didn’t seem like it.” I hope this helps a bit!

Is there any significance to the number of flying saucers? 7? Is it my imagination or is there a nail in the teeth of the alien? Can you smash the alien, there may be something inside. Or is there anything inside the flying saucers other than sherbit?

I can't just drop everything on his say so can I? What sort of research is he talking about? AngelA I was just thinking out loud. I've no idea if finding out where the alien came from would be important or not. To be honest I just don't know what the flying saucer sweets and the alien are meant to mean to me. There are no markings on it that I can see. But it had something in it's mouth at one time that's been broken off. Sorry. The truth is the penny just hasn't dropped yet Penny! at last, back on the trail. No consolation now, but I knew Dunadd, the only Hector I knew was Boece and I did suggest Bad rock Scone was the one. I didnt know about the Bell. Last time we went to Scone as a family they wanted to charge a fortune, including the dog, so we drove out again. Has anyone solved FOF yet? I mentioned 42 entries on Google including friend of family... Just thought , what about Firth of Forth?Aliens??? The Alien Act was a law passed by the Parliament of England, in 1705, as a response to the Parliament of Scotland's Act of Security of 1704, which in turn was partially a response to the English Act of Settlement 1701.The Alien Act provided that Scottish nationals in England were to be treated as aliens (foreign nationals), and estates held by Scots would be treated as alien property, making inheritance much less certain. It also included an embargo on the import of Scottish products into England and English colonies - about half of Scotland's trade, covering sectors such as linen, cattle and coal. The Act contained a provision that it would be suspended if the Scots entered into negotiations regarding a proposed union of the parliaments of Scotland and England. Combined with English financial offers to refund Scottish losses on the Darian scheme, the Act achieved its aim, leading to the Act of Union 1707 uniting the two countries as the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Hi Bambi, Sorry I had a dance rehearsal this morning and just got back in. Remember there was an index card that fell out of the book Penny left for me at the B&B at Dunadd? On one side it had a lot of odd phrases and on the other lots of numbers and the phrase "Errors of Hector". You can find them in the photographs clues gallery. Then another card was sent to me with the FOF disc. That card was just like you said - like a hangman game and you were right about it being a word grid. Then it was thanks to Graham, Admiral and Iain who worked out what all the anagram messages meant. Google Book Search Advance Book Search Full View Only. You had to go to Google Book Search click on Advance Book Search then in that menu click on Full View Only. Iain found that if you did a search for "Errors of Hector" using the exact phrase box you ended up at a single book called Sconiana. When you click on that you get through to the text with errors of Hector in it. Iain's wife worked out that the funny numbers on the 02 index card related to two things. The first number, before the decimal point, which was always 1 or 2 referred to the lines of the paragraph. The second number after the decimal point referred to the number of letters on that line that you had to count from right to left to allow you to build up the coded phrase which turned out to be: In the tree under the bell. Dead simple ehhh? Now we're stuck with a little green man and space ship sweeties! Hi Tony - So sorry I don't know what is going on. What browser are you using? Earth calling AngelA - Earth calling AngelA. Having had a good look at the alien I think this is more to do with what's been smoked than crop circles - check out his eyes! More of a spaced out man than spaceship! Well done on the Boece spot on girl. Welcome back Raymond - could be you're right. I hadn't thought about FOF being a place - I just assumed it would be an organisation. Have you seen Bambi's amazing list? Could be anything! LOL xxx Donna

...another location where a crop circle appeared seems to be at Luthrie NE Fife near Dundee on 14th August 2005.I'm homing in on crop circles, because one theory is that they are the traces left after a space ship or "flying saucer" has visited the area.

Hey David - you were up late! Thanks for the info on the Douglas fir. Going to try and get away by ten. Simone has got a new car and is looking for any excuse to go anywhere so we've left Neil to look after the site today - the girls have hit the road - watched over by the F.O.F of course! So creepy. I was up late too looking through Sconiana on google books for any reference to a bell or bells. I didn't have to read it all even though it's quite short because I noticed you can word search the whole thing - so cool. Didn't have any reference to a bell though. Do you know much about the stone of destiny? Well this book calls it "the fatal stone". Nice old pictures too. AngelA you're going to love it - right up your street. Got to go - let you know what we find asap. xxx

The grounds are home to a very special Douglas Fir. This was raised from the original seed sent home by David Douglas from America in 1826. David Douglas was born at Scone and worked as an under-gardener before gaining fame as a plant explorer and collector for the Royal Horticultural Society. A pavilion dedicated to the Scottish plant hunters has now been constructed. This is the only tree mentioned on any web site for Scone

I have tried the approach Admiral suggests: that is gone to google book search, clicked on advance search, then full view only - then entered "errors of hector". That takes you to Troilus and Cressida by William Shakespeare. I am new to the board so still hunting back through the previous clues to know what to do next. Is this any help Donna? Hi so here it is Donna - great dance moves by the way. Admiral is right! Line two is: Advance book search. Line three is: Full View Only. Both these phrases are menu settings for Google Book Search. I used those settings and searched for the "The Dairy Book of Home Management". I couldn't get anywhere with that as it has a restricted view in google books. So I tried "Errors of Hector" as a boolean search and got a listing for a single book about Scone! When you select that book you get straight through to the page with the phrase "Errors of Hector" on it. My wife figured out that the numbers on index card 2 related to lines and letters in that bit of text - shared thunder! So 1.01 is first line and first letter - which is "I". 2.04 is second line and fourth letter - which is "N". This gives us the first word as "In". Okay wake up everyone I'm almost finished. Donna - I'll let you have the fun of working out the rest. Tip - use the zoom in tool to make counting the letters easier! Enjoy.

Hi Bambi I just don't know about the household book. Maybe the pages the index card was placed in would have revealed something but the card fell out so I just don't know about that. By the way did you like the photo image we sent? Maybe check your spam mail to make sure it didn't end up there. We've been sending out a few emails recently with attachments so that's maybe good advice for all of you to check your spam for Lost Penny and click us through.Graham how you doing?

Chuffed that Claire and Graham have broken the deadlock thanks to Bambi's seemingly innocent comment about hangman, while some of us are off complicating things with wild searches (like me!). I am having a blast though searching google and stumbling into all kinds of facinating articles. In fact, yes, I used Google book search to find the digitalised 16th Century translation of "The Chronicles of Scotland". The language is a bit weird, old Scots, but you can just about get the jist. I want a copy for Christmas !...but will now try to focus hard on what matters, the anagrams.

Hey thanks for all the birthday bests! Bambi you got the right day - I'm 18 today and so glad i came home. I've just found out that Claire@bbc, Simone@bbc and Patricia@bbc have been working on the anagrams since about 4.00pm as a birthday surprise for me. Trouble is they've also been working their way through a box - oh yes i said a box of white wine! What a mess - giggles everywhere. Some of the anagram solutions they've come up with would even make Russell Brand blush (well maybe not.) Hope you guys have more luck. I need to make some coffee urgently. Catch you in the morning. Oh, by the way, if you do crack the anagrams can you send your solutions to the lost penny email. The comment board is running really slow tonight so best you send to both. night! oh and if you're still watching then Hi to all you creeps at the F.O.F!

Hi AngelA - Wo! where are you getting all this stuff? So this stone is from Egypt and the Scots are named after an Egyptian princess! I must have slept through that class - I never knew any of that. I'll have a look at plotting the journey of the stone on the map. Have you seen the message from Claire@bbc? I really think she is on to something. Looking through the messages I think it was Sophie who suggested anagrams might be the way forward. Neil@bbc has put the index card 03 up in the photo clue gallery with the words on it to show us what Claire@bbc is getting at.Tony you are a real heat seeker - where did you get the idea that the numbers might relate to cancer risk? What's the name of the site? I found a black triangle link but it was all about UFO's. Heck! It's swell to be back! Keep it coming Tony. Hi Bambi - I think Walt might not like us using his famous deer on our site without permission. Have you another image? Nobody has sent us a drawing yet - you could be the first! Hey your hangman idea was what got Claire@bbc going so there is a star waiting for you when we get you up on the friends page. Thanks for all the birthday wishes - I'm officially a "big person" now so looking forward to doing "big people" stuff! I think Simone@bbc and Patricia@bbc are cooking something up!

Errors of Hector: this is a bit spooky..see website=Black Triangle came up with the following statistics:"We found that the relative risk of leukaemia was 1.69 (95% confidence interval 1.13 to 2.53) for children whose home address at birth was within 200 m of a high voltage power line compared with those more than 600 m from the nearest line. For 200-600 m the relative risk was 1.23 (1.02 to 1.49). The finding that the increased leukaemia risk apparently extends so far from the line is surprising in view of the very low level of magnetic field that could be produced by power lines at these distances" Some of these figures are identical to the clue, but I cant see a connection. Where did you get the letters FOF on DVD from... never saw them.

..more on Hector Boece and his erronious or fanciful "Chronicles of Scotland" ;-)"BOECE, HECTOR 1465?–1536?, Scottish historian. He studied at the Univ. of Paris, where he knew Erasmus, and in 1498 he went to Aberdeen as the first principal of the new university. The most important of his works is a Latin history of Scotland (1527); it is a vast collection of historical fables from medieval chronicles, generously sprinkled with myths and miracles. Despite its shortcomings it was held in high repute until the 18th cent. "So, Hector blended fact and fable...there are factual errors to his "fanciful" chronicles. What are they?

What errors did he make in his account of Scottish history ? Trying to find a copy of this, maybe the coded numbers are chapters and versus of his text...or maybe I'm off at a tangent!

Found this !"The Chronicles of Scotland , Hector Boece (translated into Scottishby John Bellenden, 1531) tells us -- Gathelus, the ancestor of theScots who came to Egypt when "in this tyme rang [reigned] in EgyptPharo ye scurge of ye pepill of Israel" was given Scota to wife(Scota was the daughter of a Pharoah). "Lang tyme he landit in ane part of Spayne callit Lusitan" (later called Portugal). After this, he built the city of Brigance and "callit his ubdittis [subjects]Scottis in honour and affeccioun of his wyiff." With peace,Gathelus "sittand in his chayr of merbel within his citie.""Ancient Irish records, when referencing an "Eastern king'sdaugther", also mention an old man, a partriarch and prophetcalled "Ollam Fodhla" (Hebrew words that mean "revealer"or "prophet") and his scribe "Simon Brug" according to various spellings. Reportedly, they carried with them many ancient relics. Among these were a harp, an ark orc hest, and a stone called, in Gaelic, Lia-Fail, meaning Stone of Destiny. So, a Hector (but is it THE Hector?) wrote the "Chronicles of Scotland". Scota was an Egyptian Pharoah's daughter. The Stone of Destiny travelled from Egypt to Portugal and then to Ireland before arriving in Scotland..Must be missing something. How is any of this relevant to helping Donna find Penny? How does it tie in with the score cards and codes? And the translation...had hoped for some clues or answers.

Sorry these replies are so delayed but I hope you will all understand I got quite a fright last Thursday - it's taken me a while to calm down. The 3rd index card clue got a bit lost in all the excitement. Neil had technical problems getting it into the picture gallery but hopefully it should be there now. It has to be some kind of word frame doesn't it? F.O.F means nothing to me -could be anything. AngelA thinks Friend or Foe? Thanks for Filet O Fish, Sophie! You make me laugh which is good - so you get another star. The ghost was just weird picture of me and one of the actors I met working this summer. Hey I was on telly this morning! I forgot the Victorians programme started this morning and I had a bit part in the first episode. Bet you all missed it but Neil is going to try and get the clip up on the site to embarrass me. David I think the book has to be tied in some how. Maybe if I'd found the index card in the book and seen what pages it was in we would be further on with this but it dropped out in the car. Hi Bambi, will try and get your profile up tonight I was a bit worried about the copyright on your profile picture but think we can sort that. Is the the supercomputer an angle that is worth following? What do the rest of you think? Hi Claire and Richard, I've really struggled to remember what day that film of me was taken. I was posting a birthday card to a friend so I'm sure it was the end of October. And you're right I should see the person filming - I look right at them - but if I did see them it didn't register with me. Claire, I think the police have now got a translation of the voice on the DVD but they're keeping it to themselves. If you know someone that could give us a translation then please do - nobody else has got back to us yet. Hi Norma, you're right it was a dreadful day but just as we got to Dunadd the weather seemed to suddenly break for us. Then the cloud and the rain came on again as we left. We were just lucky. AngelA you really think it's to do with this Stone of Destiny! Could I ask everyone to see if they can find any connections between Hector and the the stone? Where did this stone of destiny come from and what does it do? AngelA you rock! I've given you another star. Could the numbers be coordinates? I don't know about that kind of stuff. Thanks everyone keep working at it. I hope to get home soon - I can't stay hidden away for ever.

Hey Donna that old guy could be Penny's guardian or your Dad! But I don't understand why he couldn't have told you where penny is if it is her guardian or Dad! This might sound a bit stupid but there could be a message on a rock because on one of the notes it says have a bad ROCK scone. i googled hector and scottish history. there are a few historians with that name - i dunno if they've made any mistakes though? hector means it said . . .hang on i'll paste it in . . .Scottish: Anglicized form of the Gaelic personal name Eachann ( brown horse)The classical Greek name, Hektor, is probably a derivative of Greek ekhein ˜to hold back,˜hold in check, hence ˜protector of the city. Have wanted to congratulate evie and those who even knew about Dunadd. Thought I had visited much of our country, but have missed out a big and vital bit of our history, it seems, not having been to Dunadd or Iona - shame !.Anyway,I've called on a few mathematicians I know to see if they can make sense of the numbers. Will get back on that or they might. I can't help thinking "bad rock scone" is a distortion of "stone" and "Scoone" (Perth) i.e. the Stone of Destiny. Now in Edinburgh castle, but it was at Scoone originally (?) Was used for "coronations of Scottish Royalty" = "Regal".Hope this triggers some more precise thoughts...

I have been digesting the clues so far and I am still working on any possible connection etc.I have also been considering the timing of 'pennys' apperance in your life and, why exactly she is trying to reach you. I'll stab an early explanation.Perhaps Penny is a visual representation of yourself albeit a very lucid one. Penny could be a tangable and very real manifestation of your own journey. In your life you have asked yourself, no doubt, who am i really? where did i come from? etc etc. Now seeing 'penny', being left clues, meeting strange people and starting this journey you are, in fact, on a journey to find Donna, not penny. Penny is simply the road to 'Donna', not donna who you think you know but donna the person you want to know more deeply.Nonsense probably but hopefully that will give you something to reflect upon.

Hi CT, What's so scary.Hi AngelA you seem to know your stuff. If it's volcanic rocks in the photos - does that really narrow down where these pics were taken? rolfe harris? tie me down sport Ha Ha Ha only kidding no AngelA he really sounded weird - maybe David is on to something with the gaelic. Can't make out what it says on the hat David - might be Oakley- does that mean anything to anyone? Hi evie you think Kilmartin? have you any photos of this fort you could link me to or send?

I'm pretty sure photo 6 shows thecarved stone at Dunadd fort near Kilmartin - an ancient site full of mystery. Could your ancestors be trying to contact you to complete a missing element of their family tree?

Hi Donna,The landscpae looks like bits of Scotland. Doesn't look like far North or N.West, too many walls and neat fields, not wild enough, but could be the Pentlands, southern Ayrshire not quite high enough the hills for the Borders. Farm land with old volcanic out-crops...hmmm, possibly the Angus region or further up around Aberdeen...East Coast. Not being too helpful, am I ? Sorry !

Hi Donna,Just looked at your blog this morning and sorry can't recognise any of the places in the polaroids. I'm sure that it is possible that you could have a twin sister but who was the guy who gave you the photo? Why would he want you to have it? Good luck Florence

Hey sophhie don't stress we all put our foot in it sometimes- and i'm not talking gucci. my adoptive parents know nothing about my birth parents -nobody does. i really was found on a door step - check out "about me" video on the wonderboard. Don't be hard on Wise Owl. For a while there i was cracking up.... still might i guess.

i think it is lovely you really like your adoptive parents - my friend has just adopted a beautiful wee toddler. he is so gorgeous. they are over the moon. i googled 'what not to say to new adoptive parents' and it said don't say 'you're so lucky' to the child. i was so depressed coz that's exactly what i'd said... ANYWAY shoulnd't you tell your parents about photo man. he might be your real dad and if you ask them at least you could rule that out. And mentor wise owl person are you for real donna doesn't even look a little bit sick just worried..

Donna is being challenged and forced to step out of her comfort zone. That is always a bit scary.I love journeys where the destination is not clear, or experiences that put you to the test, you learn lots on the way and you grow stronger ...and you build lasting relationships.

Being a twin myself, I can tell you the feelings you have are completely normal. It's just sad that you have never been able to hold Penny close to you, or even known of her existence. I hope I can help you to be reunited with her!
