Donna

THE LONG GOODBYE

Tuesday, 10th February 2009

Donna looks at the view from Moncrieff Hill near Scone. She says that if this is to be end then it's a beautiful place to do it. As the camera is set in position by Donna we see a burst of interference. Donna enters frame and tells us that her name is Donna Dunbar and that she is a traveller. She asks for forgiveness from everyone she loves for not telling them that she is going. She lists her mum and dad, all her friends including Neil, Simone, Richard and Sandra. She explains that without their help she wouldn't be here now. She texts Simone to let her know where the camera has been left and asks for this last film to be put up on the Lost Penny site. Donna tells us that all she has to do now is to go and find the stone and be with Penny for the greater good. She takes off her lapel mike and walks up the hill, away from the abandoned camera. As she walks away from us the interference on the picture becomes worse and worse. Donna is out of site when the screen suddenly goes to black.

Right Now...

So strange. I thought it would be hard but my decision to go seems to have brought me peace for the first time in a long while. It's time now. Maybe one day, like the salmon, I'll return.
