Question How do you know what the structures are on an ordnance survey map eg waterfall, corrie etc?
Answer 1. the shape of the land as shown by the contour lines.
2. knowing where to look eg for a waterfall along a river and its valley especially in the upper course
3. and a dead giveaway is the name - waterfall / corrie written on the map.
