The internationally lauded doyen of contemporary dance, Michael Clark, returns to the Edinburgh International Festival for the first time in 21 years with his new show: come, been and gone. Lauren Laverne met him in the Pleasance Courtyard to talk about his inspiration and latest work, for BBC Two's Edinburgh Festival Show. Includes fantastic archive footage from 25 years of performance. An Artworks Special on Michael Clark will air on BBC Two Scotland in the Autumn.
This gallery features the Michael Clark Company rehearsing in June ahead of the world premiere of come, been and gone at the Teatro alle Tes in Venice, part of the Dance Biennale. Following performances in Stockholm and Paris, the piece can be seen at London's Barbican Theatre from October 28 to November 7.
