Robin Jenkins - The Cone-Gatherers
Robin Jenkins is one of the most prolific Scottish novelists of the 20th century; he is also, despite being critically acclaimed, extremely under-read. The Cone-Gatherers is perhaps his most famous novel; it is set on a highland estate and through the story of two brothers labouring on the estate, Jenkins poses difficult questions as to good, evil and the nature of morality in general.
