Association for Scottish Literature Studies

Association for Scottish Literature Studies. The Association aims to promote the
teaching and study of Scottish literature and study the languages of Scotland.
Articles from back issues of the magazine ScotLit, which features essays and news,
are available online as are teaching and study notes for various works. There
is also an extensive links section, as well as information about the Association's
other publications and events.

The Literary Encyclopaedia

and resource Network collects Scottish literary and non-literary materials which
are usually difficult to access by other means. Has resources on, amongst others,
Henryson, Galt and Scott.
The Gazetteer for Scotland

The Gazetteer for Scotland is the first comprehensive gazetteer produced for Scotland
since 1885. A vast geographical database, it also contains biographical details
of famous Scots, and many Scottish literary figures are featured. Information
can be accessed using a map, a timeline or a keyword search.

Contemporary Writers is a site published by the British Council which provides
information on some of the most important living writers of the UK and Commonwealth.
