What makes one lonely busy shelter on Unst famous the world over?

Also known as Bobby's Bus Shelter after the young boy who campaigned for its survival, this bus shelter with a difference is situated on Unst, Scotland's most northerly island. Surrounded by wind, rain and beautiful bird song, the film captures the story of the Unst Bus Shelter.

A day in the life of a bus shelter unlike any other

The Northern Isles' bus shelter with a difference. BBC World Affairs Correspondent Allan Little describes some of the key moments from his career and answer questions about what it is like to report the world in an age of conflict. Bill Boyd reads his poem Hogmanay, written in the style of Robert Burns.

The shelter has taken many forms over the years and even hosted its own millennium festival. Every year, the shelter adopts a different theme and 2011's is Nautical, in honour of the Tall Ships Races.
