Seanair Melodaidh

On the road!

Hello, my name is Morag. I'm 31 and I'm from Glasgow.

This year I have got entangled in an adventure with my Australian cousin, Melodaidh, who is exploring her Scottish heritage. My mum and Melodaidh's mum were sisters. They're from the Highlands, which is why we're setting off for the north.

I hope it will be a comfortable journey! I'm going to miss my nice flat in Glasgow, and my cats, most importantly.

I couldn't bring them with me, but I do have my fiddle, so maybe I can learn a bit more while I'm on the road - gosh, doesn't that sound adventurous.

Melodaidh has been teasing me because she thinks I'm a real romantic - she thinks, the cheek of it! - that because I like holidaying in Italy and visiting Scottish castles that I'd like to have a Gaelic boyfriend.

I'm worried about feeling the cold so I've stocked up on scarves, but just in case I'm going to keep knitting.

And Melodaidh thinks that I get drunk on tea because I drink so much of it! I'd rather be drunk on tea than off with my head in the clouds than Melodaidh.
