- 10 October 2008 - Jeremy Peat reappointed as BBC National Trustee for Scotland
- The Government announced that Jeremy Peat has been reappointed BBC National Trustee for Scotland.Jeremy Peat said: "I am delighted to be given the opportunity to serve on the BBC Trust for a further two years and to represent the interests of licence fee payers. With colleagues on the Audience Council for Scotland, I will continue to promote the interests of BBC audiences in Scotland".

Jeremy was appointed a BBC Governor in January 2005 for four years; with two other former Governors (Dermot Gleeson and Richard Tait), he was appointed a BBC Trustee to serve the remainder of his term. His new appointment runs until 31 December 2010.

- 24 June 2008 - Local Video PVT
The BBC Trust has today started its public value test (PVT) of the BBC's local video proposal. To find out more about the proposal and public consultations go to the Trust's website.
- 11 June 2008 - Impartiality report: network news and current affairs coverage of the four UK nations
The BBC Trust has today published its impartiality report on the BBC's network news and current affairs coverage of how the UK is governed in its four nations. The report includes an independent assessment by Professor Anthony King and research from Cardiff University and the market research analysts, BMRB.
In its report, the Trust concludes that the BBC needs to improve the range, clarity and precision of its network news coverage of what is happening in the different UK nations and regions. Read the full report here.

- 2 June 2008 – BBC Trust publishes review of talent costs
The BBC Trust has today published its conclusions and recommendations based on the findings of an independent review of the BBC's role in the UK’s market for on-air and on-screen talent. Read the full report here.

- 28 May 2008 - BBC Trust approves increase in network TV production in the nations
The BBC Trust approved plans that should lead to a significant combined increase in network television production across Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the regions of England. Read the full statement on network TV productions here.
- 21 & 22 May 2008 – BBC Trust meeting in Scotland
The Trust held its monthly meeting at Pacific Quay, Glasgow on the 22 May. The Trustees and Audience Council Scotland members were involved in a number activities over a two-day period, including events with stakeholders and audience members from across Scotland. Events were held for members and representatives of cultural and ethnic groups, young people and people with disabilities.

- 16 April 2008 – Scottish Broadcasting Commission
Representatives from the Audience Council Scotland, including the National Trustee, attended an evidence giving session with the Scottish Broadcasting Commission in Edinburgh.

- 11 & 12 March 2008 - Annual Conference in St Andrews
- BBC management presented on the priorities which ACS set for 2007/2008 and the Council discussed its new priorities for the year ahead.
- On 12 March, an event with audience members in the local area was held in connection with the Council's new priorities.
- 4 March 2008 - Sports consultation event
- The National Trustee and members of the ACS met with key stakeholders for the sports sector in Scotland to discuss BBC coverage of sport and related issues.
- The ACS will discuss the event at their Annual Conference and decide how best to take the issue forward.
- 31 January 2008 - Complaints Framework
- The BBC Trust consulted audiences on the BBC's complaints framework

- 28 January 2008 - Gaelic Digital Service approved by BBC Trust
- The BBC Trust approved the BBC Executive's proposals for a joint Gaelic Digital Service with the Gaelic Media Service (GMS), with conditions.
