Audience Engagement
The purpose of the Audience Council Scotland is to represent the interests of the BBC's audiences in Scotland. Engagement with audiences is core to the Council's function and we regularly hold events and run activities which allow us to interact with licence-fee payers and hear your views on the BBC's programmes and services.
Our consultation activity ranges from public meetings to web-based consultations. Details of upcoming consultations and ways in which you can get involved are be available below.
The BBC Trust regularly consults on key issues facing the BBC and invites licence fee payers, industry and other interested parties to contribute. The Audience Council Scotland submits its own responses to these consultations. During the past few months the Council has responded on such matters as the proposals to introduce a Freesat service, the BBC iPlayer, the Gaelic Digital Service and HD Television as well as a review of bbc.co.uk.
