Meet a gorgeous German Shepherd called Max.

Barbara Daines from Wiltshire has been in touch to tell us her Animal Rescue story:

Just wanted to tell you about our gorgeous German Shepherd called Max.

My ex-husband took his own life a few days before Xmas, which, of course, left all of the family traumatised.

Max has been there to listen to my rantings and ravings, we've cuddled, I've cried with him and generally he has brought me comfort, just knowing he's there. Not sure how I would have gotten through this year without him.

Max has had quite a few health problems in his 8-year life, and we are currently paying £270 every month for medication, which he will need for the rest of his life (the pet insurance has 'maxed' out!). But, the alternative is not an option. He has a wonderful temperament and his illnesses never make him grouchy.
