Give a Dog a Home
Meet Gollum, a precious pooch who's looking for a home. During the run of Animal Rescue Live, we're running our own pet match, exclusive to the website. So it's time for Gollum to put his best paw forward and introduce himself to all you potential pooch owners. He's been at Battersea for quite a while, and is in the process of being nursed back to health. Read on to find out more about him and for how to apply to be his new best friend. Name: Gollum About Gollum He is sensitive boy who hasn't had the best start in life but with patient and dedicated owners who will devote time and effort into training him and helping his fur grow back, Gollum will be a super companion. Gollum hasn't been taught any good playing manners which new owners will need to work on. He loves his food which can be used as a great motivation for training. Gollum can live in any environment but he needs a home with a garden in a household where everyone will be consistent with training him, therefore he can't live with young children but would be ok with teenagers. He is easily influenced by other dogs so needs careful socialising with good doggy role models that he can learn from. He could live with a calm well mannered female dog if she was going to teach him some manners. Click here to download pictures of Gollum to your desktop. Give a dog a home To apply to be Gollum's new owner, email animalrescuelive @bbc.co.uk with your name, address, contact numbers (home and mobile, please). We'll be running updates on Gollum and his search for a new home throughout the series. As part of the application process the BBC requires you to supply your name, email address, and phone numbers which the BBC will treat in confidence in accordance with its BBC's Privacy and Cookies Policy. Those candidates who are deemed suitable by the production team will also have their personal details passed on to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and for the sole purpose of determining if they are a suitable match with Gollum. |
