Surprise Surprise
This morning the trainees who are up for Celebrity Scissorhands Hairdresser of the Year were in for a surprise, a special guest and a twist to the finale proceedings.
Bright eyed and bushy tailed early this morning all the trainees broke into a spontaneous rendition of ‘My Way’ conducted by Lee before he settled them down for one last morning meeting.
“I really appreciate your willingness in this Academy, I appreciate the respect you’ve given me and The Academy and the hard work in The Academy.” Lee expressed. “It’s been real fun leading you...We’ve proved you can do extraordinary things with extraordinary people. You’re extraordinary, the lot of ya.”
The trainees took it in turns to talk about their favourite moments and Lucinda saluted all the clients that had taken the time to come to The Academy and those that had raised money to which the room erupted into applause.
Lee then explained that the trainees doing the catwalk show would have time to work with their models whilst the finalists would be working with a very special guest, Nicky Clarke.
Nicky entered The Academy and wasted no time in telling the finalists what he wanted from them. He said he would like to see ‘show-stopping, glamourous, shiny, just great hair’ that they ‘would not be getting away with throw it around stuff’.
Lee explained that the finalists would be watching Nicky do a demonstration for 30 minutes and they would then have one hour to recreate the look. Lee dropped the bombshell.
“Tonight for the final Nicky is going to eliminate one of you,” he revealed.
“Ahhhhhhh,” the trainees sighed, collectively.
“So there will only be two in the cut off,” Lee confirmed.
“At what point do we know?” Jeff asked.
“Eight minutes before the show,” Lee said.
Cue more ‘ahhhs’ and ‘mmmms’ from the trainees. But no finalist was more gutted than fiercely competitive Scott who began fretting and pacing around The Academy.
