The Lusitania Medallion was issued privately in Germany to mark the sinking of the Lusitania in May 1915. The Medallion wrongly stated that the ship had been sunk on May 5th 1915. This was two days before it actually happened. British copies of the piece were then used to show that the Germans had planned in advance to sink the Lusitania. These were used to support the anti-German propaganda campaign.

Listen to Ada's letter about the Lusitania.
