'The foolish and the brave' is sung by Cassandra - Trojan prophetess - and a chorus of soldiers. Style: R and B, minor, melancholic.
Menelaus and the Greek leaders deliver an ultimatum to King Priam of Troy: return Helen or else. Cassandra, sister of Paris and Hector, foresees the destruction of Troy in ten years. There is an impending sense of doom.
